Hello i'd like to discuss a buff to Consuming Darkness to make it much more fun in pvp and to bring in an entire different element to pvp as well. Additional changes to some other ground based ultimates are included.
Here is my proposed change for consuming Darkness:
- While inside Consuming Darkness you are granted Invisibility for the duration.
- While inside you are immune to AoE damage.
- Enemy players who enter consuming darkness can see you.
- You cannot be revealed to players outside Consuming Darkness.
- Boltering Darkness: Damage mitigation reduce by 30%
- Veil of Blades: Damage mitigation removed.
Nightblades only know darkness. Step into the void and be struck down.
Some scenarios that this ultimate will excel:
- Are you a nightblade with terrible healing and need a way to take some pressure off you while outnumbered?... say no more! Throw down consuming darkness and recover while invisible! While inside you are safe from players outside. All though players can come inside and try to kill you. This is where either the damage mitigation of bolstering darkness can save you or the damage of veil of blades become valuable in pvp.
- Is your friend dead and in need of resurrection?... say no more! Throw down consuming darkness and resurrect him. Whoever dares to enter will feel your wrath!
- Is there a raid trying to front door your keep?... say no more! Throw down consuming darkness right in the middle and start slaying / raining down cover fire!
Pro's:
- New stealth based mechanic never seen in ESO!
- Provides awesome group utility!
- Gives Stamina Nightblades a bigger role in large scale group pvp!
- New counter to Eye of the Storm and AoE abilties!
Con's:
- Only effects 5 allies.
- Leaving Consuming Darkness removes stealth.
- Players can enter and see you.
- Unkillable tanks may enter and become an issue as they are hard to kill.
- Single Target builds can still enter and try to kill you.
Proposed change for all ground based ultimates!
-Ground based ultimates can no longer be negated! Giving Consuming Darkness/Nova/Standard more value.
-Nova, Standard and Negate now all have baseline 25% AoE damage reduction to 6 players. This effect does not stack.
(To improve small scale group play, these ultimate's now reduce AoE damage by 25% base-line. This will help while going up against large groups using ultimate's such a Eye of the Storm or Proxi Detonation. )
Dragon Knight Standard Changes:
- While inside standard be granted (Insert value here) magicka /stamina and health per second to you and 5 allies.
Dragon Knights are strong and have awesome sustain. Why not make this ultimate accentuate this for the duration. You dare test the might of the Dragon Knight?!
Templar Nova Changes:
- You and 5 friendly allies become immune to all damage coming from outside Nova.
Templars are majestic and noble. Nothing may breech their house. You dare step inside?
Sorcerer Negate Changes:
- See proposed changes to ground based ultimates.
Lemme know what you think? Was just brainstorming and i thought we could use some more power with ground based ultimate's in pvp. Right now abilities such as Negate or Eye of the Storm are being used very frequently and its time the other classes Ground based ultimate's started to make a flashy appearance!
