Morrowind story vs old stories

I played the game when it came out. I finished Cadwell's Silver. I liked the story, but I tried to rush through it too much.

Coming back, I think the Morrowind story line is INCREDIBLE. I love it! I haven't been this hooked on a game in a while. But this is what Bethesda is known for, sometimes, right? Awesome story. Like the story in The Old Republic. That was great. I think this Morrowind story might be better.

Now that I'm really taking the time to play through the story and enjoy it, I really love it. Can't believe I zerged through some of the previous story!

Does the rest of the game have a story this good? Should I go back and play things like The Dark Brotherhood? Should I finish Cadwell's Gold? What other awesomeness have I missed?

All the storylines are very good. I personally liked Dark brotherhood the most. Did not yet start Morrowind storyline.

The story telling in the game is fairly good. For Morrowind after doing most everything on one character I followed it by doing only the main story straight through without the side quests to see it pure. It was done well.

Hey! I just subbed to your YouTube and looked at your website. Would you happen to have a Templar magicka build focused around Dawn's Wrath and a Destruction staff? That's what I'm trying, but it seems like a lot of people do more damage than I do. That kind of build viable for good damage?

Let's not get carried away here. It's a good story as far as it goes, but quests in this game remain very railroady without many serious or even superficial elements of player choice.

I'll give you "Insightful" on this one. I do get carried away when I'm excited about something. Still, I love this Morrowind story and you get to make some interesting choices (Veya storyline, for example), but I'm not sure what effect those choices will have later in the game, if at all.

I'm enjoying it so far. I quite liked the Orsinum story also, and DB.

Me too. I just became a resident of PC EU so I had start over. You start in Morrowind now but I left and went back the Khenarthis Roost. I did Morrowind in betas and would rather savor it at a higher level.

I think I've been spoiled by spending some time in SWTOR. The ability to roleplay your character there as light, neutral, or dark adds a tremendous amount of flavor which you just don't get in this game where most (although not all, as you pointed out) quests have exactly one path.

Oh boi. I'm not sure I could start over. Seems super tough. What's it like to start over?

It's not bad at all :)

It gave me a chance to re-prioritize my choices. This time around I did the starter island, started the harborage, dark brotherhood (gotta have that blade of woe baby), thieves guild (to have Abah's Landing), mage and fighter guilds (for the passives) and started crafting to get the keen eye passive on all crafts for gathering. Then I went and finished the harborage line and am at Caldwell's Silver (so I can go anywhere). I'm now level 24 and in the middle of Auridon, just got to Wayrest. Phew! See?? Easy as pie <3

@faerigirl Yeah I've also spent probably $300 on the Crown Store over time. Plus all those achievements and things (like finding all those Mage Guild books...omg).

But then again, if your friends are at PC EU, it is probably worth restarting.

That's true, I even ditched my crown store items. I'm not entirely gone from PC NA...just mostly.

I always really enjoyed the struggles of the ebon heart pact. Shadowfen was really a big point as well as eastmarch
    -Immortal Redeemer-
    -Extinguisher of Flames-
    -Gryphon Heart-
    -Potato-

If I edited a post, it was for spelling. It is always because of spelling....

My favourites are: Greenshade (Wilderqueen's Arch is the best questline in my opinion), Orsinium, Coldhabour (Mass Effect 2 vibes), Reapers March, Thieves Guild, Bleakrock, Mages Guild, Stonesfall, Auridon, Deshaan. (from most favourite to least favourite).
Aldmeri Dominion Loyalist. For the Queen!
