I would like to know if there is a way to change which purchased house is my primary residence for each character? I have a dark elf warden and want to have the wizards tower in morrowind as this characters primary residence?

The point of your primary residence is that it's the one other people will visit when they go to your house while you're offline, so needs to be just one on an account.
You can set up houses for each character anyway, and other people will visit them instead while you're logged in and at home.
Your primary house has very little meaning if you're not encouraging visitors

Each of my characters have their own homes. For the most part they only get to put trophies and achievement furniture in their homes they earned themselves. My vampire cheated just a bit.

I really would like a drop down menu where the visit primary residence option is so people could decide which of my homes to visit without me having to change primary or actually be in the home.

Doesn't provide much incentive to own more than one home when guests can't go check them out.

and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

This soooooo much. I have a fully decorated Strident Springs with a custom party deck I built and a Hircine cave. I have my island that is pretty darn cool if I do say so myself. I have my multilevel hedge maze in Serenity that I work on when I'm a bit tipsy, and now I have a grotto I'm working on at the new tower.

The problem is - most can't visit those different places without me being available and not in cyro, bgs, dungeons, or some other activity that is hard to just drop when someone wants to see them. It really does stink.

That's even beyond the fact that all my places would be so much more full and interesting if it wasn't for the stupidly low item limit.

It'd be cool to set multiple homes for public display. Though, I could see the menus getting unwieldy, that way.

I think it could be done with just one more level in the menu. Right click on the player name, click on visit residence which opens a list of homes that player has open for viewing and click on the one you want to visit. And just for fun a couple of images of my vampires home, still a work in progress.
