Can we PLEASE STOP self rezzing in Cyrodiil / IC, Actual exploiters exposed by BakerofCakes Youtuber

I have heard about this in one of my pvp guilds discord last night as we did our rounds killing bosses in IC (Sotha Sil NA), I shrugged it off as a bug or everyone was tired. I did not have the foresight at the time to realize how this exploit could be a disaster if you were to farm and kill in IC only to have some SELF REZ, and not phoenix set self rez, but they choose the timing of it to wait to reengage.

Wow doing it that many times in a row is clearly no accident. Hope ZOS takes the appropriate action to both patch the glitch and punish the exploiters. From reading the Youtube comments it appears this particular exploiter changed his gamertag in attempt to avoid punishment - clearly he knew he was exploiting and cheating.

I don't know when these changes are coming to console, but ZOS has figured out the issue and patched it on PC. (Unless someone can confirm that it's still happening on PC.)

hmmmmm, maybe we should all be thanking them for helping us clear nightblade bounties so quickly...

I just don't umderstand some of the cheaters/exploiters out there - seriously, you would think they would know that a good number of players like to record just about anything out of the ordinary - especially some crap like this...

from the exploiters perspective though - i don't really "get" the benefit from self rezzing???

I stopped trying to understand morons a long time ago. I suspect it has something to do with those recording exploiters as "just being salty, yo LULZ, git gud".

Never understood why companies take this attitude towards not wanting cheaters publicly shamed.

Bungie is the worst. They disregard any video evidence and they ban on forums and their only reply was always "Use the in game report option." Which is the worst way cause then innocent players can be banned from salty players who get their friends to spam report.

All cheaters caught with video should be exposed and companies forced to take the appropriate actions.

Penalizing people who are trying to get these guys banned because they have actual proof is a disservice to the communit and overall QOL for those who assume nothing is being done and are forced to play with cheaters because the companies do nothing and are not transparent with any action taken.

I'd like to see more done similar to the way a cheater/hacker was dealt with in Guild Wars I believe it was. The company videoed them taking over the persons account - deleting everything in their inventory - then jumping the character off a high cliff killing the character and deleting the whole account afterwards.

I don't get it either. I'd ask for an explanation, but I won't get that either. Lovely crown store items, they'll tell me about though.

My guess: They will patch it on Console and will decide that it isn't worth taking any further action.

Sad part - the guy abusing this glitch responded to the video.

Of course he said he was just doing it for fun and because he was being killed outnumbered.

The guy admits to cheating in the video he's shown cheating in - what more proof does ZOS need.

This needs to be a full on permaban. Not a permaban that gets revoked - an actual permanent ban. Everyone else that does this and is shown doing this as well.

@ZOS_GinaBruno can you all actually grow a spine and commit to removing these cancerous players permanently and actually relay that such has been done? If anything, people that are continuously doing this are laughing because they know it'll prob be ignored or they'll get a 3 day ban. They know you all are soft on this stuff.

Companies need to still collect money from cheaters while they figure out if the community is salty enough about the player(s) that its worth banning them. Naming and shaming forces their hand.

If cheaters cheat and no one knows/cares, everyone's happy, right?

Seriously, I am pretty sure that the only reason they disallow naming and shaming is that it tends to increase the volume level of the forum. Name calling, pointing fingers, accusations, rebuttals, people picking sides. The resulting flame war can get nasty. The moderators have to work harder to keep it from boiling over, and dealing with it when it does. It is just easier to try and stop it before it starts. That is my view, at least.

The company itself either cares about cheating, or does not care about cheating. Either way, I can't see why the company cares whether the names of cheaters, even if falsely accused, gets spread on the internet, so long as it is not done on any service they own. If they care about cheating, they care a lot more about people spreading how to cheat, than they care about people spreading who is doing it.

You know, me and some of my friends personally saw this level 26 guy in Imperial City doing that self rezzing crap...

We killed him at the top of the stairs at the flag (Memorial District if memory serves me correctly) and he was able to rez right back after a few seconds completely on his own...

We killed him atleast 7-8 times, and he was able to self rez every single time...

We eventually just left him alone as he was no threat to beat the NPC's, but that was eye opening nonetheless...

Every single person doing whatever the hell they are to self rez needs to be banned and this glitch needs to be patched asap...
