First of all , the arena was something amazing i was so hyped to try , because it is an end game content , starting the arena was so challenging , so one day i said come on it shouldnt be that hard so i get some food and started my first vMA , first stage not hard at all , just learning mechanics took me not much time to complete it , okay , stage 2 ( is this the stage 2 ? really ) , ok after watching some deltia's video , and practicing some with range attacks around and avoiding everything that was around me , it was hard i cant not say it , but it was easy in a hard way , ok stage 3 not hard , the boss was challenging though , same as stage 4 , but here is when my day got ruined , one shot aoe everywhere , small time ro react , even using all buff of the stage.
Im not saying that hard content shouldnt be in the game , because i like challenging things on mmorpg , but the difficult in this game is like this SUPER EASY /OR /GET UR BU.. IN THE CHAIR AND STAY ON IT FOR 12 HOURS STRAIGHT AND DO THE SAME NEXT DAY , just... to recieve a poor reward for completing the stage , what is the point of spending hours killing a boss , if the only reward in the arena is the last boss of the stage 9 ? , how you will make people play a content , if u ruin it with things that require alien reactions , insane damage output from npcs .

In times of trouble who has the ability to do something, has the responsibility to do it.

After looking at the numbers of people who have completed VMA (on Xbox it was 0.23% as of May), I'm comfortable saying that those of us who play VMA aren't ZOS' priority.

Their priority is making new content to get new players to make more money.

If you got to stage 4 with little problems then you are doing pretty good for a first try. Especially if your signature is correct and you are only CP 440.

    Yeah, stage 5 sucks.
    stage 7 sucks.

I spend most of my time on the last boss though. You get used to it though.

Iirc the number of people who completed nMA (which is like light attack spamfest) is like 0.75%? That basically implies like 1/3 people who did nMA can do vMA which is actually a really high number, frankly I expected it to be much lower.

That said, yes, ZOS' priority is new players and how to lure them to crown store, not how to make vMA less frustrating(only thing that needs nerfs there is dat rng...).

:disappointed: im done with this content lol , i prefer one year triying to become emperor , than doing vMA ... , if ZOS eliminate the one shot mechanics , vMA will be much better imo , because that is what you end saying OMG .... how people even do it flawless , you guys are Masochists lol

stam classes will always have a harder time in vMA compare to magicka classes due to health sustaining issues, and your high ping will make it even harder for later stages which are more unforgiving. If you think stage 4 is hard wait till you see stage 5 that would make you wanna rage quit the game(esp if not using sigils)

there's part of your problem, 2H sucks for PVE, you would probably do better with DW(I know I did ).

also just saw your sig, are you using a stamblade?, if yes and just so you know, stamblade's are probably the hardest class to do VMA on. if you want to try a stam build I would recommend a stamsorc(its so much easier ).

it's hard because your build sucks and you don't know what you're doing. I can do stg4 with 11k life and no shields in my sleep. <-- because practice. You are on one of the easiest stages my friend.

You have to prioritize your targets, self heal, and actually avoid attacks rather than sponging them with your face. Eventually, something will click inside your head and you will just 'get it'. It won't be hard anymore. You'll know exactly what to do, and when to do it. The mobs never change, and the fights are scripted.

    Get güd or get out.

Honestly though, take some breaks, watch alcast vids too. He often points out what you need to be aware of and really breaks it down. If you're going to give up after a couple hours because demanding a complete didn't work, fine. You don't deserve those stupid weapons anyway.

There will come a time where you'll wonder why you ever thought vMA was so hard in the first place if you persevere a bit. You are facing against scripted enemies in there who do the same things all the time (well, mostly), therefore through trial and error you will eventually reach the point where everything becomes comfortable.

You can look at my post history and you'll see that not long ago I made a thread on here celebrating my first vMA clear after so many deaths, and I claimed that if I ever was to go back in there again I would just struggle and die an equal amount of times. Well guess what? A few weeks after that post I became a Flawless Conqueror, because with each run I learned how to handle things in a better way.

I will admit that there will be a steeper learning curve if you have just dipped your feet into vMA post-Morrowind, but you should still be able to get there none-the-less!

Ever played stamsorc?? Stamsorc and magsorc are without competition the easiest classes to do vma with (can´t speak for magblade but I´ve a feeling they are doing very good in vma as well).

Veteran Maelstrom arena is "scaled" as if you hade 300 CP. So in OP´s case I don´t Think CP´s the problem. I completed vma with 287 CP my first time but boi did I spend many Days in there.....

As for you thread (I assume that you wipe to the meteor thing that the last boss in Seht´s Flyingwheel are shooting at you, correct med if I´m wrong). In the first phase you can stand directly under the boss (when there´s a Little green circle under him/her, whatever gender a dwemer robot has xD). When the green circle dissapears there´re 3 options for you:

    * If you stand to Close to the boss you´ll take damage form the flames that comes out under it,
    * if you go to far away from the boss you´ll get mortars/meteors thrown at you
    * There´s a way you can avoid the firedmg under the boss, and a way to prevent the mortars from being shooted at you. Try to stand as Close to the boss as possible, but not so Close so you take dmg from the fire comming out under the boss. If standing at an appropriate distance you should be able to avoid damage from the boss. This takes some practice though

I dunno, stam templar is pretty much easymode. I honestly can't seem to figure out how people complain about doing it on templar. Stamina is all about health regen/dodging/avoiding getting hit in the first place. I know this is pre-morrowind but this is my stamplar vma stg5 boss. 11k hp.

    https://youtu.be/jXrYaymTXZs

As for stg4 boss, it's simple. Stand under the boss and dps it until it stops. A dwvenbsphere spns to the right of it. Remember where it spawns. Because every time you ever do this fight in thebfuture you will drop a trap beast and some ground damage where it spawns. Nuke it, then stand there and dpa. When green circle comes back and boss moves, stand undwr boss and finish it off.

If the boss stops a 2nd time you are doing poorly.

It really does get a lot easier in time. My first attempt was with my only character at the time which was a stamblade. I too gave up on stage 5. I was told that magsorc was the easiest so i levelled up a magsorc and spent a good 2 weeks in thre before i completed it. Now it takes me around 50 mintes to complete, further more i went back on my stamblade and completed it with tbs and spriggans but it took me a good 2 hours. Its all about learning where everything spawns, in my opinion stage 5 is the hardest at first but in time stage 7 will become the stage you loathe. I'm now a flawless conqueror on my magsorc with all sharpebed weapons. Im just a normal gamer like you, at first i put it down to bieng too old to be able to complete end game content. Persistance is key. P.s i was cp430 when i first cleared VMA

OP vma isn't meant to be easy, where would the challenge be if you did it first attempt? You need to change skills, points gear etc. It takes time to learn the mechanics! My first vma run took an insane amount of hours, but I didn't give up and wing about how hard it is, i just kept going, eventually after spending around 8hrs on the final boss fight i beat it. I now run the entire thing in 1hr 20mins.Not because I'm a great player, but because i know the mechanics, know when to use sigils and have adapted my build for survivability, man i even finish with 6-10lives now. Just keep at it, don't give up and eventually you will beat it.
