I disagree. Witcher 3 puts Skyrim to shame without even trying.
Witcher 3 absolutely redefined what an RPG is. The entire game world felt alive, which is something I've never experienced in a game before. I actually felt I was "role playing" as Geralt of Rivia. I've never experienced that in all my years of gaming (I never understood what the "role playing" in "role playing game" stood for until I played TW3). The immersion was just unreal.
The game also had a ridiculous amount of content. Playing through just the main story and all side quests took around 160 hours. That was ignoring treasure hunts and Gwent.
While we appreciate the compliment to RPGs from the Bethesda franchises, this forum is meant for discussion for ESO. As such we are closing this thread. If you would like to continue general Bethesda discussion we would suggest starting a thread on our sister site on Bethesda.net.
