Group and activity finder - Dungeon Finder not working ?

Hello,

I was just wondering if this tool is working or not. I followed the rule that I should queue again if no result after 20 minutes ... so I queued again and waited for more than 1 hour (now I'm actually at 1 hour and 15 minutes) ... a total of one hour and a half in queue for a DLC dungeon (both normal and veteran - taking the risk, since this one is a pain on vet without a decent group).

I know it's a bit early in the morning, but seriously, it's still the today's pledge DLC - Ruins of Mazzatun ... Nobody plays at this hour ? What is the player database of this MMO ? 1.000 ? ... sad. I'm sad.

Qued as DPS - why am I not surprised you're asking if its not working -_-

As one DPS to another - you need to understand that DPS is the most abused role in the game - everybody, their dog, and their grandmother plays DPS - that is why you will likely never find a dungeon in the finder as one.

Yes + the grouping tools is seriously flawed and does not work properly (yet)

This isn't the fault of the group finder tool, healers rarely have problems, and tanks are an almost instant find. Its the reluctance of players willing to take on other roles.

Thank you all for your feedback. In wow I also play DPS (DD) and it takes from 5 to 10 minutes max to find a group ... at any hour. So it's the player database. I was actually hoping it's the tool that is broken, as Morgul said ...

The trick is don't queue alone but grab a tank/healer friend and queue up as a partial group then you don't have to wait either.

The hard part is to have a friend.

But still I don't understand why DDs get such long queues...most people I know main a tank/healer and as a healer I have problem finding groups within guilds. because there always happens to be another healer looking for group also. So I PUG and get instant groups. Does this mean DDs don't social/don't join guilds/are masochists and only PUG?

Seriously I don't get it. I had to gold an inferno staff so I will be able to DPS when I lose my job as a healer. DDs are definitely more in demand in guilds. Strange.

2 things basicly:
1. you are dps, so the queue-times are way longer
2. you are trying to do a DLC-dungeon wich most people hate

So yeah, seeing those points you can wait till the end of eternity before you get a group.

So you are trying to get in a dungeon without a group via group finder as a dd and expect to get in? Bro, sometimes 4 ppl with proper roles can't get in with that tool go zone and search ppl, hf

Better to /zone around the place where you want to group is more efficient than the finder tool

Also, RoM is a very mechanic-heavy dungeon which requires group coordination and a voice chat for HM. You have to be very desperate to try PUGing it. Especially if you are a tank/healer. vRoM with bad DDs is a nightmare, so all healers and tanks run in groups with people they know can do the job. Hence shortage of support roles in the groupfinder.

I waited for blackheart haven all day, got grouped twice, I accepted both and it said something like "you or someone else declined the invite. You have exited the queue"

I play early in the morning (6-8 AM in Italy). At that hour I have no real life friends on. There are like 10 online members in all the guilds I'm part of.

Fortunately I queue precisely at 8 AM, when the quests reset and I find groups almost instantly, so I can still grind my silly Divines Ilambris ... that will drop one of these years for sure )

This is why I think that the tool is functioning as intended. The problem is that there are few online players in the morning and most of them don't need (already completed) the daily undaunted quests.

For me this topic is closed now.
