Time to Give the Destruction Ultimate the Radiant Destruction Treatment

ZOS, remember how for a long time you insisted that Radiant Destruction was fine and performing as it was supposed to... then you went ahead and nerfed it? It's about time to stop ignoring the Destruction staff ultimate and give it the ol' Radiant Destruction treatment.

Still the go to ultimate for magicka users in Cyrodil that is very very strong. Too strong for me.

I play both magicka and stamina and find it over the top

Yeah, the stationary one is fine, but you're right about the one that follows the caster.

I have not died to destro ult train that much ever since I learned that I could out heal it even with garbage blood heal. And that bombers die very easily. Destro ult is fine as is. I mean, if my med armor stam DK can survive the full bomber spec ulti, that means something. And I am not even good at my stam DK. Only people who die to my bombblade and someone's bomber specs consistentlyare the ones who run in non impen, no self heals or people who just flat out refuses to move and become a victim to the vicious death train. I dunno, even some of the bad people who run in groups rarely die to bombs anymore because their healers start healing them. Really don't know what is the fuss about destro ult now. Costs 250 ult, doesn't kill anyone who slotted self heal and move very well.

Don't you touch my elemental rage. They want to nerf whatever the other morph is called, whatever. Wouldn't be the first time they caved to people whining about nerfing something that they can't bother to try to counter.

You see a destro ult zerg coming? Get the hell away before they are on top of you. Keep getting killed on the second floor of keep walls by it? Then stay the hell out of there. Almost every class, stamp and mag, have some kind of counter to it if you work at it and learn how to respond. Except maybe magicka dks.

Stamina toons are fast as freaking hell and can roll dodge 3, 4, 5 times in a row no problem as well if need be. Sorcs have streak and ward. Nightblades can stealth or teleport to a further target. Mag Templar don't have great mobility though they do have a gap closer to use if they can find a target away from the ultimate.

I get killed repeatedly by oh so many of those disgusting, mangy stamblades every time I am in cyrodiil. That's fine though because if they didn't have ganking what would they be good at?

The only fine idea I've heard about changing eye of the storm is to lock the user out of using gapclosers, streak and major expedition while its active. That would be fine and fair to everyone. Or possibly limit the number of destro ultimates you can get hit by at once.

Bottom line. Just because you keep getting killed by the same thing over and over doesn't necessarily mean it needs nerfed. More than likely it means you need to learn to adapt your playstyle when that happens or learn to avoid that situation in the first place. Personally I've never even used that morph but there are always going to be people who adapt their playstyle to use whatever is easiest to get the kill with. Like double proc sets.

A good and cheap counter for the destro ult is the healingstaffult Light´s Champion. This one is better then the Templarult, because you can run and cast heals together.

I see people heal/survive through it all the time, and i sport over 3k SD base and over 4k proc'd.

A good and cheap counter for the destro ult is the healingstaffult Light´s Champion. This one is better then the Templarult, because you can run and cast heals together.

It's great if casts on you, but with Light's Champion it's not a guarantee that you'll target yourself with it.

Eye of the storm as a standalone skill is fine.

It synergies too well with other bomb build skills.

More than anything viscous death set needs to be toned down.

EotF is only a problem because the 15K health all divines tyro bowtard next to you gets blown up consistently by it, just after roll dodging into you to make sure the vicious death proc hits your whole team.

VD is a monumental fail decision in game design.

I play different styles and find destro ult way too strong, compared to other ultimates and skills it requires to use.

Zerg with destro ult is no fun.
