Daily Crafting Writs

There has been quite good progress in some areas of the game. Some others, not so much.

When will it be possible to turn in all crafting writs at any location? It sucks to have to try to find fifteen different locations to turn in crafting writs of various levels. It is for this reason I pretty much stopped doing them on my alts. It's too much of a hassle and not worth the effort on the lower characters.

Thank goodness they finally dropped the cost of top-level Equipment Writs to three items each in OneTamriel. Master Writs were a nice touch to keep things fresh (though either Morrowind release contained a huge and disappointing stealth nerf in the drop rate or RNGesus is punishing me for what I do with my computer after I log off ESO).

The next logical step is allowing us to turn them in anywhere. Or, at the very least, allowing us to turn in top-level writs anywhere.

    Yep
The stealth drop rate nerf & lack of new items on the writ vendor have dried up my interest.

A good idea to hand in all writs at any crafting station though. Hope it eventuates

Just remember,ZoS giveth and ZoS taketh away,if writs become easier to drop off,the chances are the rng of wanted rewards will no doubt decrease be careful what you wish for...

Why does everything have to be dumbed down?

And you don't need to memorise fifteen different locations anyway, you only have to remember four at most, as contracts can be delivered at any of the locations designated for that type of writ. They are not faction specific.

All top level writs are delivered to Craglorn.

I don't think they should be turned in just anywhere. But at any zone in your Home Alliance. Otherwise your helping the enemy.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I don't think where you turn them in actually makes a difference to the war in Cyrodil, even though the NPC'x imply thats what its for. i tend to just stick to:
    • High level writs are all delivered to Craglorn.
    • Refugee Writs to Greenshade.
    • Alliance Writs to Grahtwood.
    • Consortium Writs to Auridon.
It's simple to remember and avoids having to remember 15 different locations.

I do forty a day as dailies including any dropped surveys, the XP, Gold and valuable materials dropped are easily worth the effort.

Well, to start with, if your characters are at various level of crafting, which mine are, it is easily a bunch of different places. It's not a matter of dumbing down. It's a matter of convenience and time allotment. IF all my characters were maxed on everything, it would be fine. I know I am not the only person to have this complaint. Of my nine characters, only two can turn in at Craglorn. So, six crafts, nine characters, that is easily how many places? I don't know. I'm too dumb to do that simple math.

All I want is for all the have the choice to deliver at Craglorn. Instead, they have to drop them off at the various places which serve the level of their characters. That's a whole lot of shrines with loading screens to wait on as well as the logging in and out for each character. Then, if they are crafting above their level, they have to watch out for areas where they have not yet completed the quests and are hostile.

I have been here since the beginning. This is the reason I don't do the crafting writs on my lower level characters. I started them all, but it was so time consuming that I didn't get to do anything else that night. So, I have to choose between crafting writs or leveling the character. The same for many other people I know. It's too much bother.

Players effected are those who are leveling alts, or who are new to the game. It effects no one else.

As much for my own information as for the purpose of this discussion I decided to time how long it took me to complete all the crafting writs on my 9 trait Master Woodworker last night.

He actually completed all six crafting writs and delivered them to four different crafting locations in 14 minutes 14 seconds, (without hurrying), although he didn't stop at the four market hubs as he would normally.

For that he earned about 2,000 gold, excluding the value of materials, which included a couple of legendary tempers, and he also got another crafting survey map which has been passed to my blacksmith.

    That was using:
I consider that a reasonable use of my time, far faster than questing or farming in terms of rewards for time expended..

You can of course manage your crafting ranks, so that every skill is balanced in which case every writ would be delivered to the same location. My newest crafter actually has all her writs at Consortium Level and so never has to leave Daggerfall to complete them. But it's hardly worth worrying about.
