Power level to CP160 in a week:
Where is the end game? You just played it.
Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
Where is new content? Sigh.

Hmm.. article says avail to all ESO players.. no mention of to ESO Plus.. and Morrowind purchase not required.

    Not sure I like those.

No new benefit for my paying money for Morrowind expansion.. nor for subbing.. yet again.

Then you're misunderstanding the article. Base game patches are free for everyone, you don't Morrowind and the Dungeons and Clockwork City content needs to brought Crowns.

    Nope. Thats exactly the issue.

It was already confirmed that ESO+ customers would be able to avail of the subsequent DLC's released this year. The only thing that actually needs paying for is the Morrowind Chapter itself.

10 hours of gameplay for Clockwork City.
So 3 days of questing fun, then back to grinding...

You still don't get it, bro.

Both Horns of the Reach and Clockwork City will be standard DLCs. Which means that if you have an ESO Plus, you'll get free access. If you're not an ESO Plus member, you'll have to buy the DLCs with crowns. It's simple as that and the same as it has always been.

Horns of the Reach: AUGUST 2017 - normal DLC (like Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, Orsinium), free for ESO Plus members
Clockwork City: NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2017 - normal DLC (like Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, Orsinium), free for ESO Plus members
?????: Q1 2018 - normal DLC or a major update, free for ESO Plus members in any way
New Chapter: Q2 2018 - a chapter like Morrowind, not free

Anyway, I think this is pretty bad for ESO. These quarterly updates are just plain bad. Chapters are too expensive, dungeon DLCs are utter garbage and 10 hours of questing in Clockwork City (after most of us will already finish Morrowind's content by the end of June/July) is disappointing as hell.

This is pretty much saying that I should return to ESO once a year, for about a month or two (june/july). I'll be able to enjoy the chapter, and finish the three new DLCs easily. So that's like 26€ for ESO Plus and 40€ for Morrowind. Which is, again, very costly for a 1-to-2-month playtime. Pretty sure I'll give this game a boot if the things keep developing in this way.

Horns will be a DLC like Hist - adding new dungeons only, with entrances probably located in the standard zones.

You'll get the Morrowind bonus content in the form of BG's - hopefully they will add more to this.

Neither (except for the BG part) will require Morrowind access.

Since they are being promoted as DLC's, I would think they would be freely available via ESO+, with the obvious caveat of requiring you to own, or subsequently purchase Morrowind.

It's a teaser to boost sales one of two different ways. As usual, in terms of marketing, it's brilliant.

That works. They already admit that there are people who do this. I call them "Vacation players" because they swing by, partake in the local attractions, then go back to whatever it was they were doing before. Now, whether people are willing to pay to do that, is the question. My guess is that a lot of them will.

On a related topic, I find this amusing from the announcement...

"When Horns of the Reach launches, the base game will also get a major (free!) update. This update will include a new Battlegrounds map (Arcane University) and a new Battlegrounds ruleset (Chaos Ball), in addition to new homes, furnishings, cosmetics, Crown Crates and holiday events. "

While talking about the "free!" update, they just happen to mention new homes, furnishings, cosmetics, Crown Crates and holiday events. Things designed to help separate you from your Crowns. Directly or indirectly.

It is also funny that the first things they mention in the major free! Update aren't actually free, unless you paid for morrowind.

Actually looking at it again the only thing you can actually get for free would be the holiday events... I hope...

I'm excited about 2 dungeons and Dwemer DLC.

As long as it is available to me, I don't care who else it is available to... besides I would rather the dungeons were not behind the Morrowind paywall so more people will be available to run them with me.

My guess is they will both follow the previous DLC formula. Free to ESO Plus, but available for a purchase with crowns.

    ooh I love hutt ball.

Better give Templars and DKs some mobility though. Huttball is dominated by Sorcerers and Operatives exactly because of mobility and the differences in SWtoR are smaller than those in ESO. Sorcs and StamNBs are already like 80% of the population in BGs and mobility is a big reason for that.

I haven't gotten around to doing most of the dungeons in the game, so Dungeon DLC doesn't excite me. But uhh.. Falkreath Hold? Sounds like whoever is working on the Skyrim DLC in 5-10 years time will be annoyed at whoever decided that was a good idea...

Glad they're finally adding the the Arcane University in some context. It's about time! Hopefully accessible from mages guilds, and not only from cyrodiil! Would be cool if you needed to do a quest to unlock it...

Clockwork City will hopefully be good, although I generally prefer updates that fill in part of the map... I just want all of Tamriel, please!

I don't freaken care if it doesn't require Morrowind. Whoopdydo they added an entrance outside of Morrowind. Probably some idiot on a boat takes you there. It's STILL Morrowind content. That was cut. To sell as DLC. It should've been there to begin with, but ok.

"Clockwork City is a standard DLC game pack and does not require the user to have purchased Morrowind"
    -the linked article

    Should clear that up.

Nope, doesn't clear it up. It's still Morrowind content excluded from Morrowind "chapter". They'll add a boat or what have you to get to Clockwork City from a base game zone. Whoopdydo.

Someone who has a positive to say.

I thought it was very positive. I am loving Morrowind. I think the extras in the collectors addition are great and totally fit my style. And I just resubbed. The game is gorgeous. The dark brotherhood content is a lot of fun. Just starting the thieves guild so not so sure about that yet. I think I need to make a khajiit for that one. The warden class has been really great and I'm having a lot of fun playing it. ESO is the one game I can come back to and thoroughly enjoy it. It's just completely beautiful and the score is amazing. I love beautiful art and I don't mind paying for it.

omg , ppl read into things without thinking first. DLC means DLC and thus free for ESO+ and buyable in the crownstore. the ONLY thing not available for eso+ is the morrowind content with battlegrounds and trial unless you bought it ofc.
