While farming for scathing mage I ended up with a full set of sheer venom as well. I was wondering if it is a decent set to use for my stam sorc after I get it leveled up.
For PvP it can be useable if you build for it. Use it with another proc set, like the Vicecannon or Poisonous Serpent, and you can make Poison Injection into a very lethal skill.
For PvE it is trash, because it can only proc on ONE person / NPC at a time.

It's not bad. I have a 5 piece set in my inventory at all times on my Stam Warden. My default setup is 5 VO 5 NMGs 1 Krag. If I join a group where someone else has NMG on ill swap to sheer venom.
Something to be mindful of, executioner only procs it in the execution phase while poison injection will proc it from 99% health. Because I always have poison injection up I get nice single target dps from it.
There are definitely better sets out there but it's a handy go to for when NMG is doubling up.
Yep, not very impressed by sheer venom myself. Didn't know it was bugged tho. Imho, not worth the trouble since much easier obtainable proc sets do better/are not bugged(?) .
Before you deconstruct, consider this (I prefer to do it on a Templar):
5 pc Sheer Venom
5 pc Morag Tong
1 pc Master Bow
Rotation:
Rally from stealth, then bar swap
Lethal Arrow (for defile)
Power of the Light (use during flight, to stack upcoming damage and debuff)
Poison Injection (to proc Sheer Venom and Master Bow)
Binding Javelin (for great CC)
Toxic Barrage (ultimate while enemy is in flight)
It puts a lot of heat on an opponent - if it doesn't kill them right away.
