I payed 275k for a Necropotence Inferno Legendary Stave

I've been farming for years and it was time for me to let go my money, that i've always very jealous conserved... it hurted me a lot but i feel me released and relieved! i'm very poor now with only a few k gold, but i feel me free! is it true that money don't make happiness!

Hmmm, you get that kind of staff in green/blue for less then 5k gold ... the mats to upgrade cost less then 100k (including the costs for a master crafter of you choice to actually do the job).

I sold golden necro-staffs for more then 50k gold ... beeing a mastercrafter myself and getting the mats from dailys I had a purchase of 350 - 2,5k gold (for the staffs) .

So, yeah, happy if you are, but I personally think you definately spend too much gold on it!

Never understood why necro destro staves are so expensive. Is the kind of 5-piece bonus you usually want active all the time.

I mean, I have had a lot of different necropotence builds, not one has wanted a destro staff.

Uh......you could've just bought a low quality Necro staff, then improved it yourself. Would have saved you 200,000 of your gold in the end.

Before Morrowind even came out, I bought my future warden:

- Lightning necro staff: 300k
- Inferno necro staff: 270k
- Necro necklace: 110k
- Necro ring #1: 250k
- Necro ring #2: 300k
- Necro body pieces: 30-40k each

I just bought everything since I didn't know how I'll be combining it with other sets. And of course I made everything gold.

Having money is awesome!

So much this like wat build needs this staff? I rather have it on the body and jewelry or just the body to keep that bonus plus getting 2 sharpen staves seems stupid with way cheaper options

I feel your pain man... bought 2 Sharpened War Maiden staves 300-350k each one day after early-acess (not to mention hte 5 other piece avour 30k-60k). Not to mention the 4 Mother's sorrow about 120-k each i already bought a while ago.. damn those staves cost a lot :P all that for some tests.. but ki use them now on my meian warden healer as DPS when i need to, and the War Maiden's was just for the look on my NB basicly since i loved the robe and it's close to the BSW set... crazy me I'm now leveling a Warden which will be magika dps, so guess what, War Maiden on it's way whnen he's 50, another expense coming.... that's the issue when you have money, the more you get, the more you spend.

Necro inferno staff costs 250-300k regardless of quality. OP got a great deal buying a gold one for 275k. That's how much I paid for my purple.

If you don't have sharpened vMA staves and want to combine necro with MD or MA set, it's way easier to buy necro staves than to farm MD or MA staves.

For example 5pc necro + 4 or 5pc MD requires either necro or MD staves. Necro staves you can buy from guild traders. MD staves require you run MoL 400 times.

I just noticed... MD MA, hehe.

running a warden double necro staff build myself... there are uses for it. Need that lightning staff for a ranged stun.

Can't you just have the 5th necro piece as another body piece and use cheaper/easier to get staves?
My necro/lich build uses lich staff and lich DW backbar to proc it. My necro/shacklebreaker build is using shacklebreaker staves.

I only really focus on PVP, so perhaps there some PVE reason for this?

Lich weapons are way harder to get than necro. Necro you can just buy with gold. Lich you need to farm for potentially hundreds of hours since it isn't a tradable set.

Yeah, probably a bad example.. But the sharpened lich destro staff is a named drop which I got lucky with while farming for general lich gear. The point is though that it's possible to use other staves that you already have or can craft.

The best sets to combine necro with are dungeon/trial sets. Weapons for these sets are extremely difficult to obtain, so it's much easier to use necro staves which you can just buy, and then use body pieces from those sets (body pieces are much easier to farm than weapons).

Exactly, this is the reason why i run with 4x body necro + 1x destro (both bars) and 1x body moondancer with moondancer jewels

A necro inferno sharpened staff cost about 250-300k. I did a make deal getting it directly legendary for 270k, if I compare with another offer I've got for 250k in epic. Materials to upgrade it would cost me another 50k?
