Launcher and Game disappear

First, let me thank anyone for any support that can be provided.

I've been playing the game for a bit over a month. When I first tried to install the game I was not able to the get the installer to run properly. Had to use some workaround methods and finally got it launched. After playing for some time I logged off and after trying to get back on again I found that the launcher would not launch, nor could I find the game anywhere on my computer via looking through my hard drive or in my program list when I went to uninstall programs. Odd I thought and had to download the game again. After playing the same issue occurred. I traced the problem down to (What I thought) was Avast causing me issues. I allowed the game through Avast (even though I had previously done that) and things seemed to clear up for me, launcher icon worked and I didn't have problems for about a month other than some in game lag spikes (3-10 seconds at times) that were cleared up by uninstalling Avast.

So, today I logged on in the morning, played for some time, logged off to do some things around and set the Minions program to grab some addons for me. I tried downloading the Skyshard addon, my first one, haven't downloaded any yet. Well, after that taking forever just saying downloading I closed down the minions program, after that when I went to launch ESO it said that nothing existed from that shortcut and that I can delete it. This was quite odd to me, so I restarted my computer and the issue still remained. I once again went through my computer and found that ESO does not seem to exist on it. My hard drive space does not reflect that the game is gone, but I can't find it. I tried downloading and running the installer from the ESO website and that did not work, I had to run my workaround once again and I'm attempting to now re install the game but this is quite simply ridiculous.

So, has anyone had these issues previously and have any suggestions for me?

Again, thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Not something I have encountered before.

Have you tried running a search on your drives for eso.exe to see if it can find the launch file and as such where it's been moved? Not sure why the game would be moved but if it's still on your drive then that's how to find it.

Then assuming it's there you can just make a new shortcut of the launcher and keep playing if there are no other issues and you don't mind where it's been installed to.

A search of ESO.exe only yields Install ESO which results in nothing when clicked on (the launcher not installing issue). I can find a bunch of eso0xxx.dat files in my C:\users\<name>\Desktop\depot along with Install_ESO from the times I've downloaded the launcher.

Check you anti virus program to see if it has the ability for a virtual desktop or sandbox mode. On my anti virus program Comodo it can have programs installed, that it doesn't trust, into virtual desktop. So cause of this it is not actually installed on your computer but in a virtual desktop. Any programs installed in this virtual area has no interaction with your actual desktop

You can also search through regedit.exe. there must be the location of your installation.

Anyways, you can get your latest launcher version from your account page. Make sure you install in a new folder. Eso could erase files/folders if you install directly to drive D
