That's like saying when kids buy those blind box Minecraft mini-figures, it must be because they "have a gambling problem." No, sometimes people just like surprises.
*EDIT* Also, this is the five hundred and twenty-first thread about this.
Didn't meet a single person who'd say Crown Crates were "worth it". Even your so-cherished streamer figurines.FloppyTouch wrote: »200$ gets you almost everything in the Crate store plus the mount you want with gems.
Not sure anyone is not eating over 200$
I have yet to meet anyone that's spent over 200 at this point most stop when they get the mount they wanted or have the gems, all the other stuff is just fluff we are happy to get.
Mature or not. 18+ or 60+. Rich of poor. It's not that simple. Crown Crates are meant as a cash grab. If they are here - it works and there are people falling for it. As long as you blame players and players solely you are also responsible for supporting corporate greed. And that one is on you - whoever you are.
"WE" are also humans (and not robots) who are responding to specific type of stimuli. Discussing that using people's responses against them for personal profit isn't ethically questionable is simply narrow-minded.Shardan4968 wrote: »Corporate greed or not, WE are the customers and WE choose what we buy. If people like buying crates for suprise, then I don't see the problem. If someone is addicted to gambling then he/she need help, like alcoholic and there's no need to delegalize crown crates or alcohol.
If you could not convert items to gems I would almost agree with you but the fact is not matter what you can get the item you want it's not gambling.Didn't meet a single person who'd say Crown Crates were "worth it".
