Which is the better morph for PVE and for PVP?

    PVE: Decent for Major Brutality.
    • Flying blade is very good for maelstrom if you dw/bow and use it as a finisher after a heavy att/poison injeciton weave for quick kills when enemies spawn.
    • Shrouded range and bounce radius is quiet low. Not really sure there are many occurances where you would get value out of the bounces compared to flying blades extra range in maelstrom. All though bounce damage is very nice. You want enemies dead before they bundle up for value with this morph which is why i dont think its the right choice.
    • Other then maelstrom this ability is just used for major brutality when you dont have potions. You could just use Power Extraction for the same purpose though and get the bonus healing/ult gen.

PVP: Where i am very familiar with these abilities.
    • Flying Blade range is very good. Its deceptively good. A streaking sorc who is low is an easy kill. Unlike Lethal Arrow, its instant cast instead of channel and has not audio indicator. Very sneaky.
    • Shrouded is very and i mean very good for outnumbered fights or zerg play. The bounces do a ton of damage. Its also very deceptive because its got a very small visual tracer and is quiet.

Now im going to go into more specific's about the ability itself and not about the morphs. I've used this ability throughout homestead and now just recently Morrowind.

It is very good if you have a friend running it with you. Me and my friend have been ganking people with flying blade and since its instant cast and so fast... well you can just toss these things before players know what happend. Its such an underused ability that nobody expects it.

It has some sweet perks but its not good for solo ganking as an opener.

    Pros:
    • Flying Blade range is crazy.
    • Proc's main hand enchant (doesnt proc offhand from what i can tell)
    • Has good passive synergy with nightblades since they have plenty of cc's. (Can deal more damage then surprise attack against armor debuffed and stunned/immobalized targets.
    • Has an execute phase under 25% health which means you dont really need one since nightblade damage is so high anyway.
    • Shrouded Dagger is very good for Dawnbreaker follow up damage against 3+ targets. Very strong.
    • Gives you a source of ranged damage while going dw/2h
    • Quiet and Deceptive damage. Mine crits 8-10k on most opponents.
    • Very good for team-play, just send a flying blade to your ally fighting and stealth/stun or kill the enemy they fighting.
    • 50% snare, stamblades dont necessarily need fear because of this ability. (I dont slot fear anymore because i just stun with incap or surprise att.)
    • You can force opponents to come to you.
    • Good synergy with crit cloak and reentering cloak after.
    • Good spammable from range.
    • Very good for resource farming.
    • Good against melee builds.
    Cons:
    • Can be dodged.
    • Costs 2k+ stamina.
    • Waste of Major Brutality since Rally is a must.
    • Does not proc Viper since its ranged, considering how popular Viper is right now.
    • There are technically other alternatives with executioner or poison injection.
    • Its not meta.
    • You may get hate mail.
    • Not that good against shield builds.

Overall i really like using Flying Blade instead of Killers Blade on my DW/2H nightblade. Its nice ranged poke. Nice snare. I can steal kills or assist players very easily. Quick and Silent. Its just plain fun to use too. Works a lot better with another nightblade.

I recommend using if you run DW/2H.

So in higher end pve you're getting major brutality from potions so there's no real reason to run it. that said, i enjoyed it for the buff while leveling and soloing

I have Shrouded Dagger on my stamsorc and Flying Dagger on my stamblade. If you're soloing PvE then I'd go Shrouded Dagger every time. It's a pseudo-ranged weapon that lets you take out small groups of lower level NPCs without having to get up close and personal.

"Instead of taking the best of the dolmens (predictable rotation), the best of the geysers (scalability based on number of players), and the best of the dragons (map location and health indicators) and adding them together to make a fun and dynamic world event scenario, they gave us....... harrowstorms." https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/6850523/#Comment_6850523

I have to say it, but I switched out killer's blade for shrouded daggers on my PvE Stam NB Thief. I have it critting for 19K damage on normal mobs, and its great at taking down small groups of them before they even reach you.
