Confused about Eternal Guardian vs Wild Guardian

Wild Guardian is supposed to do more damage but my tooltip shows the opposite. I am Magicka specced but I thought ultimates go off the higher value (Sta vs Mag), or does the Wild Guardian go off of stamina for some reason?

Eternal Guardian does Magic Damage, so if you're Magicka specced it'll do more damage since the damage scales off your highest stat (and CP)

Ah ok, I thought ultimates always use your higher value, but I guess they are like other skills... magicka increases non-physical damage and stamina increases physical damage?

Wild Guardian is the stamina morph.

They scale off your highest stats.

BUT

The tool tip will take into account how your CPs are distributed, so if you've spent your CPs on magicka stuff then the tooltip will be reflecting this, which is you're seeing higher damage tooltip for the one that does magic damage opposed to physical damage.

No, off the higher value (spell dmg vs weapon dmg)

Look, ulties scales of max of spell dmg or weapon dmg so if your spell dmg is higher they would scale of your spell dmg
But physical/poison/desease dmg aslo scales of your stamna pool and proper CP, so as magicka/elemental dmg scales of your magicka pool and proper CP.

So if you are magicka build, Guardian with physical dmg will scale of your spell dmg and stamina pool and Guardian with magic dmg will scale of spell dmg and magicka pool (obviously it will be higher)
