Dumb Question

GunMetalGazm
I have ESO Gold Digital on my X1. If I buy Morrowind, do i need to leave the disc in? If not could I sell the disk after that and someone else can use it?

I'm pretty sure it'll bind to your account once you've downloaded from the disk, if you try selling it and the person opens up ESO it just won't work. I believe it's like someone game sharing ESO, only the primary account holds all the DLC. They look at these things believe me, either you need it in or it's bind to account digitally.

Edits...since you own the gold edition digitally all you need for Morrowind is the ditigal upgrade

If you purchased a Morrowind disc....and it didn't have the Morrowind code, you will have to leave the disc in to play and access the Morrowind content.

To clarify...if you own this digitally image?url=8Oaj9Ryq1G1_p3lLnXlsaZgGzAie6Mnu24_PawYuDYIoH77pJ.X5Z.MqQPibUVTcI_iuAhbmbREHNdAxVERKGz_E0pLxND3tLXmwSfCD7uijH5IpvhyY4ilHidGVvK6XurccTIlcP2ex1gwcJTGpRl9ieDc.IE5.zwTA4amJNnn.1uF6lO24q7mFTdqmjYpKggI5IwtGF3cBR8d6tMq8DvipmWU8U.H10CJnFxbSNww-&w=200&h=300&format=jpg

The only way to avoid using a disc is if you also own this digitally. Or the CE version digitally

    FYI you can't share it

Does the disc has to be in in order to play it? Would be nice to know. I bought my digital so I didn't have to get up and put in the disc. YES I'm lazy lol

I think what your asking is a violation of the EULA and could result in action against your account...

It's not any violation. It's how consoles work

Oh... Your allowed to purchase a disk and then give it away, or potentially resell it even though you've used it?
I wasn't aware of that. I thought the ESO disks had some sort of code attached which made them a one-time use item. Like someone else couldn't reuse the disk after you.

Seems dicey to me, but alright.

Oh... You can just give the disks away?
    I wasn't aware of that.

Nothing dicey about it at all. Customer buys disc, plays game. No longer wants game, so they give away or sale, and new customer does the same.

It's been that way since 1980's

    See my edit.
I thought your account was bound to the game disk in some fashion, via code or digital signature; and that giving the disk to someone else would prove problematic.

It sounds like they still want to play the base game, not stop playing because they no longer want the game. The upgrade only adds Morrowind, does not include the base game. If they can do this, then two people would have access to the base game off of one purchased copy. Not one using it then stops playing and sells the disc so another can purchase and play the game. Odd a software company would allow that.

They did state that the Morrowind full version includes the base game. If you use it to upgrade an existing base game you cannot let someone else have the base game.

Right, yeah, that's what I thought was going on here, and that seems like it'd be against the rules.

They own the base game digitally...read that. It means they do not need a disc.

The disc game in many cases is only the original eso and a code for Morrowind. They have to use the code for Morrowind but the disc is not needed....that's the answer unless it's something not said
