Weapon swapping opinion and thoughts

Am i the only one that feels like this two bar / weapon swapping system feels really clunky?
I'd rather have one bar with couple extra buttons than this two bar system. Maybe have weapon swap with shared bigger bar?
Personally I wouldn't mind being bound to using one weapon type instead of swap option (actually it would feel much more fun to me).
This is just a personal opinion ofc! Let me clear this a bit:

I have been playing this game on and off from the start. And somehow at the end of every cycle I come to the same conclusion:
This game is by far the best of this gendre, that i love so much. And thus i get really frustrated that this particular thing pretty much kills my joy of playing it :'(
I'd like the two bars to be like "I have this bar done for this situation and this for that". However it doesnt work so.
If you want to be competitive lets say in dps. To do competitive (average to above) you have to include "bar swapping" to rotation to make it optimal. And this makes me sad panda.
I cant go with "heal bar / dps bar" or so.. I have to go with some skil here some there cause i cant fit them in rotation without swap.
One problem that leads to this is "passive" buffs that chomp major bar space like Inner Ligt etc. But this is of topic already.

What do you think about this curremt system?

My only complaint on the current system is the responsiveness of trying to bar swap. It seems like half the time I die in PVP is due to the bar swap just not happening, despite me hitting the dpad (playing on Xbox One), but this also happens sometimes doing the dailies or during trials.

I primarily play a mag sorc running destro/resto staves, and don't have any issues changing my resto bar over to focus a bit more on healing. I should point out that when I do this, I'm not the primary healer, and mostly just use it to fill in when dungeon finder sticks me in a group with a... less skilled healer.

I agree with you. Luckily I mostly do stuff solo so I don’t have to listen to anybody whining about my single target/area bar set up. :p

Bar swap shenanigans is usually what causes me to die in VMA (Xbox). All of my VMA success came from pretty much dropping bar swap and playing straight up. That meant most of the time I played unbuffed, but it was a world of difference and I actually had more success.

If you go into the accesibilty options in your ps4 menu you can change your key bindings. I have mine set so if i press left joystick down it switches bars. Some find right joystick to be easier.

Either way it makes it so much quicker and easier to do a bar swap. You can also use the bar swap to cancel skill animations and your rotation speed should improve drastically.
