So, is it wise to put anything in tenacity then? What's a reasonable amount for a 630 cp dd?

I have around 50 points, and I can just speak for myself. It depends on what gear you use, I tend to be 7-0-0 or 6-1-0 with my armor choices, but I can see why someone with 5-1-1 or 5-2-0 would need slightly more resource return. It also depends on content you run, class you run, group you play with etc. One thing is for sure, I don't feel like putting 100 CP into anything since Morrowind came live, it is just a massive waste imho.

No. Because that's a huge waste of CP. You're seriously spending something like 45CP for 2%.

Then why do a lot of Morrowind builds I've searched for spec 100 in in it, on deltia and alcast sites for example?

Because that way they get to LOL on anyone who mindlessly put 100 CP into any of these.

I'm not max cp, so I have about 40 in it. Wouldn't put more than 75 in it anyway, which is 14%. 100 would only be 1% more. Not worth it. That way I have more points to put in for roll dodge cost reduction. I sure love my roll dodging.

Sometimes old mindsets are hard to change, people are so used to '100%' everything, that their mind cannot wrap itself around the concept of 'diminished returns'... some people also cannot grasp the "jump point" concept either, which has been mentioned on this site in a few posts, and directly relates mostly to the 15% stars.

Unless you are making a very specialized raiding build I think its crazy to put any more then 50ish points in anything today. Go for diversity and enjoy being able to do more then just regen your main stat. I love being able to roll dodge, block, sprint and have secondary resources available and stronger heals etc, love it ;)

I liked 56 points which gave 12%. After that the diminishing returns seem too much.

The way everything is loaded now, it's prolly not wise to ever put anything to 100 again.

75 would probably even be pushing it for the limited return gained.

ZOS certainly wants us to diversify and I think they've found a way to make it happen!

Yes I've spent 100 points in Tenacity because where else (from a pure PvE perfective) I'm I supposed to place the points ? The whole green tree is predominantly PvP oriented .... Maybe Break Free cost.

I am not CP 630 yet, but even when I get there I will never put 100 points into a single star. I am not a player than can pull a perfect rotation 90% of the time and I am not going to be running competitive content so that 25 points for 1 percentage point is meaningless. I would argue it is meaningless even if performing under perfect conditions.

With 75 in Tenacity and 75 in Arcanist or Mooncalf I am sacrificing 1 percentage point for 50 champion points I can use to offset the increased cost of break free, block, dodge roll and sprint.

75 into regen 75 into heavy attack return, to get the wind runner passive 10% more magic regen when running, then 30cp into the reduced Sprint cost, like 20% reduction, for the 30cp 20% more inspiration boost, then 23 into roll dodge reduction and 7 into block cost reduction, for the 30cp reduction in cost of repairs.

This the way I have all my toons except for my tank, which has 100 into block cost reduction and the rest split between regen and heavy attack return.

For pve only i have 100 reg 75 tenacity for some reason. Its nice so i have some cp for breakfree and blocking but except these there is nothing else worth it for pve so if you feel like the few breakfrees and blocks are sustainable without the cp spent there just go for 100-100 and the rest some split into block and breakfree depending on the jumppoints.

EDIT: for stamina i feel like you want some more breakfree and block reduction so 100-75 is a good solution since without shields you're gonna have to block more

Because min/max is min/max and it makes the build straightforward and simple.

Realistically, for most people though, you'll get more benefit from about half that and spreading the remaining points around in some of the previously less used stars.

That was part of the reason they changed to front loading so many of them.

You can burn those points and get that extra 1%, but how many are really going to be capping out their DPS that closely that you'll even notice a difference, vs the 10% in three other places you could have had?

Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

If you're a magicka build that uses heavy attacks with resto or lightning staff, sure put some points in it. But I wouldn't go higher than 56 for + 12%.

Wel the thing is not that you won't really notice the extra 1% but that there is nothing else really to put points in thats needed in pve.
