Has anyone published a table of the icons for the new buff tracker and what they mean? I can figure out a few of them, but I really need a cheat sheet.

I ended up going back to Srendarr Buffs addon, I'm actually using both to see quick buffs on my character at my healthbar and longer buffs on the side.

Tell that to bull netch, which gives me two separate buffs, and ice fortress, which gives me three.

    I'd take consolidation.

Let me see Ice Fortress' icon rather than the three I see now. I know what the damn spell does, I don't need three separate buffs to track.

yeah, this bufftracker is another example (alongside guild traders, crafting stations and whatnot) of how lazy or incompetent their UI design team is..
sorry to say that, but you guys are desperately in need of professional help!

The ingame bufftracker is very helpful and unlike Srendarr doesn't forget to clear buffs.

Ofc, if you don't know what the icons mean, it's useless. Well done ZOS, you did half the work necessary.

There is a good reason Sredarr uses a littlebit over 1/8th of the screen.

The only class that can benefit from Buff Trackers are MagSorcs because they have few buffs, classes with a lot of buff gets screwed over.

Why you didn't listened to us in the private forum ZOS? We told you that nobody gives a f about minor buffs or buffs in general, what people want is a simple buff tracking like the add-ons, you cast shuffle? Nice, shuffle picture with 20 seconds below and thats it, simple and easy to understand while in a fight.

My nb fully buff have 19 different buffs, how do you expect me to pay attention to those in the middle of a fight? :(

While a Buff is active, if you go to the Menu -> Character -> Then scroll down to Active Effects, it lists all the Buffs/Debuffs active on your character at the time.

Then it's simple comparison, though you'll still have to memorize what those icons are.

    - Is this ideal? No.
    - Is it convenient during combat? Not at all, especially considering that the combat will most likely still be going on when the Buff/Debuff wears off, so you can't see it then. Or, the combat ends and the Buff/Debuff goes away at this time as well.
    - Is this all ZOS has given us in their half-thought-out Buff/Debuff Trackers? Yes.

But, that's how you can see what Buff/Debuff Icons mean/stand for.

Thanks for calling us nobody. I am one of those who is considerably more interested in what the actual effects are that are active on my character that what random ability has been cast which caused it.

Really?? So when you cast Hurricane for example, you'd rather have 3 icons showing that you have minor expedition, major resolve and major ward instead of just one for Hurricane. Either way it should definitely be a option for skills, buffs, both and neither, instead we're suck with both or neither.

I agree you should have some management of buff presentation and thus if on PC just use Srendar(sp?). It allows detailed buff/debuff mgt.

For example I only show major's due to the fact that any minor I'm buffing comes with a major. All majors and minors got seperated and were given unique icons along with changes to the other buff icons. The nice thing is once you identify them they are universal to every class.

Yes. I couldn't care less what skill it is, I want to know what's happening to my character. But having a toggle option for skills or buffs was something we brought up already during PTS. Hopefully they will consider it for those who find that more useful.

That's where knowing which skill gives which buff comes in.

    If I know I get x and y from z, I can see z's icon and know I'm affected by x and y.

When I tried it on the PTS, it was too confusing. the buffs and debuff happen on the same line. Also most of my buffs only happen when in combat. And by then my entire screen width would be a line of icons. As soon as it tried to make a second line, It would pop up that I ran out of LUA memory. I had no addons whatsoever on the PTS. Not one. So their buff tracker is not only unnecessarily complex, but errors out to a memory loss screen that covered the view of the fight until I could close out. As the tank, there aren't a lot of opportunities to drop block just to close out an error screen. Sorry but showing each effect from each buff takes up too much space and is generally unhelpful. We need to know when to reapply effects so we don't waste our resources casting early (especially skills like the new Siphoning Attacks that give us a bigger return the longer it's left on). I know from your invaluable contributions to the Elder Scroll community you are much more capable than I am as far as handling a ton of information at once so I don't doubt that seeing all the effects would be favorable to you... for the rest of us, they really need consolidated icons (the icon of the skill). As a compromise, when one mouses over the icons in the character window, then it tells what the effects are.
