Should I go with an infused dagger or axe? Or should I have them both as sharpened? This is for a PvE-based StamDK DPS. Weapons will be Maelstrom DW.

I suggest the Classic 2 Sharp or 1 Sharp and 1 precise :)

Either 2 sharp, or 2 precise, they're performing about the same this patch

    After that who cares?
They're a mile away and you've got their shoes.

If you have a sharpened vMA bow on your backbar, use an Infused weapon on your main hand, and either precise or Sharpened on your offhand (based on group penetration), reason being that Endless Hail will benefit from both the Sharpened and Infused trait while on your front bar, especially potent in terms of cleave / AoE.

More generally speaking, vMA daggers / axes on a stam DK this patch have a lot of issues, first one being sustain, second being DoT uptime, so you'd probably get better results with a heavy attack build or mixed LA / HA setup without maelstrom daggers / axes.

So its best to use dual wield for pve instead of a great sword? I don't run vMA so I don't have any weapons from there. but I was running a great sword instead of dual wield.

One sharpened, one infused/precise. With the CP changes, you're bound to put some into wep penetration anyway. IIRC the traits are actually shared among both the weps, so you can use any on them. Put the axe as your main hand as it seems to proc the bleed more often there. Infused wep on frontbar also buffs the Endless Hail empower from your vMA bow, so there's that as well.

Also, vMA weps are going out of style with Morrowind due to how hard it is to sustain the Flurries. Personally, I use VO weps and switch to a full DoT build; the poison enchant on the axe works really well here too.
