live is unplayable, pts is fine.
Just coming back to the game and having major issues getting it to work again.
When I launch the game everything goes slowly. the bethesda and zenimax logos stutter and lag, logging in to the character select takes 10-15 minutes of loading, most of the time fails, and when it works the characters are invisible (while weapons, mount and pet are there) and everything is very boxy and blurry.
When I launch pts the logos play smooth and everything seems to work.
Is there some way to use the pts settings on live?

Synfidie✭✭Try uninstalling and reinstalling? Or if you have any addons on the Live Server, maybe they are interfering somehow as they wouldn't be on the PTS server.0 -

Thanks. Tried repairing and made no difference. So now trying uninstall/reinstall.
Also noticed by cpu is just under system requirements, so will be upgrading that soon.0 -

Your computer may be it, tbh.
I had a computer with a fried graphics card that I'd been able to play ESO on minimum graphics for years with little issue. Then, with the Homestead update, things tanked, and I was basically dealing with slide shows, because the card and RAM of the machine just couldn't keep up. Recently got a new computer that the game runs smoothly on.
It's a pricey change, though, so here's hoping reinstalling fixes it for you!Living vicariously through my characters.
