Charged trait with poisons

Hi everyone,

does the charge trait bonus (increasing the chance to apply status effect) work with poisons as well? Or is it just for enchants?

What happened when you took a few minutes to add a poison to your charged staff and test it out? Or are you waiting for someone to do that for you? Do you need help doing this for yourself (just apply the poison to your staff, fire it off at a mob, see if the effect is longer; you may need an addon to help you with determining this...)

And there's your answer. I'm a console player I don't have all the fancy addons you PC guys have

I will check it out tonight to see if works then. But you can probably do without addons - what were your results when you tested your theory out? Did you even try?

You have the combat text from the built in game UI...Apparently you don't have the visual effects either?

When a poison fires, there's a visual indicator.

Poisons fire 20% of the time from LA/HA. Poison status effects are already 100% when they connect.

Charged does not change this, as there is nothing to change.

And to save the next thread, Infused doesn't affect poisons either.

I just wondered if anyone knew already without me having to work out something very inaccurate based on visual effects. I don't fully understand the charged trait description. When it says "chance to apply status effect" does it mean that poisons have more than just 20% chance to be applied when the weapon is charged? Because enchants have a 100% chance already.
