Game Text Chat Perpetually Broken on Console

So, it was a great day when console got the ability to text chat. I'm on Xbox NA. I don't know about others, but my ability to actually use the feature is at about 10%. It appears that about 90% of the time I can't actually type anything in it. Even after I have been able to type a message or two, it just stops working for no apparent reason. This has been going on more or less since the launch of the feature. Yes, just another broken feature from Zenimax. But, curious, does anyone else have this problem on any platform. And if yes, which one? Really quite annoying, but so used to things that don't work.

I just turned it off. Saves fps and you dont see all the elite pro 1vXers ripping on each other all day.

Happens constantly on Xbox EU too, have to reload the game up to be able to type again it's pretty annoying

More like 90% works 10% does not work xb but it's still very annoying.

I'm on ps4, if I use the quick chat option it freezes my game for about 10 seconds then finally brings up the chat text window.

Text chat is full of rubbish and is not worth using 90% of the time anyway. Maybe your 10% is the good part but IMO you are better off without it most of the time.

Unfortunately it works fine for me, PS4 NA.

I'm experiencing this too. It sucks. I think it has to do with the xbox chat interface.
