Soul Tether Not A DoT?

Using the Soul Tether Ultimate, morph of the Nightblade Siphoning Ultimate, the damage text appears as white, instead of orange(the default damage over time text color)... So does that mean this ultimate is not a DoT, even though it's dealing damage over time(as long as the enemy remains tethered)? I wanna know because of the Ritual CP passive for increases DoT damage.

✭I thought orange numbers meant it was critical damage and white was not critical?
Oh well, it doesn't matter as long as numbers are big enough to make the red bar disappear as fast as possible. Damage type is based on whether the damage is one hit or multiple delayed hits(or it should be, Devs).0
