Honestly the ice skills from magwarden kind of suck... it mostly scales from health apart from one super avoidable super expensive dot

It's amazing to me the imbalance between frost magic and the other types. Especially after making a dedicated frost class like warden, (which btw is pretty fun), there are just so few viable frost armor set options.

Would be interesting to compare the number of frost sets to say flame. Why the imbalance? I don't get it Dev's.

I made this build, but was 5 winterborn, 4 IA and ice heart.

It did insanne aoe dps but single target was just ok. could easily clear non dlc dungeons with it, but havent tried the dlc ones

“Viable” is a sliding scale based on the role your character has, however.

The frost sets work great on a PvE tank or PvP raid support role.

They’re not great on PvE DPS or PvP small man.

Don't try to defend this obvious over sight in development, there just arent any frost sets.

I don't know wtf you guys are talking about. I wear iceheart on my TANK and the only time it's not up is when the shield breaks and is waiting for cd, so if you can't get it to proc often as a DPS you're doing something severely wrong

I'm wonder if it will be fun to use Winterborn with warden ice TANK. 1 protective set like fortified brass and 1 winterborn. And iceheart ofc.

I don’t have to defend anything.

Some sets should be better than others in certain roles.

I combine it with Acuity on my magWarden. Really fun to play.

Winterborn is kind of fantastically super awesome in tower farms. Have gotten more then 350 winterborn proc hits in a fight that lasted around five minutes.

Just put a wall of elements and a winter's revenge on the stair landing. Winterborn procs like crazy when the zerg rolls in.

I'm not certain, but I think it can proc itself too. Not from the target that you get the proc on, but from the collateral damage around that target.

You're still defending it. List the number of fire sets, then list number of frost sets then compare.
