Stam NB PvP Help

Can you guys point me in the right direction for a guide? I've been playing since beta but was never a PvP expert. My current stam NB is a PvE build and I'd like to convert him to a full PvP build. I just need some help with what gear to use, where to put CP, etc. All I can really find are pre morrowind builds. Do you know of a good place with find some builds and ideas? Thanks in advance for any help!

I would suggest that you do PVP long enough to get VIGOR because that is a good self heal. As for builds, I think someone put a link on there but I haven't been able to see it yet. Also go to...

They have pretty good builds. I would strongly suggest that you toy with your own stuff though ESPECIALLY since the new update will completely revamp a lot of the skills and negate many more.

Thanks TamrielSaviour. I actually have vigour thankfully; and got it before they reduced the requirement. It was tough lol. I know about alcast and deltia etc, it's just that no one seems to have post morrowind builds yet.

Regarding the sorcs; no but thank you for the suggestion. I have one but am not interested in PvP with him. I'd like to use the NB.

Not actual info. Stamblade is in very good condition right now. Highest single target DPS on skeleton (~47k) and even higher burst then he had before in PvP plus great sustain.

Yeah not to be a *** but it's a bit frustrating that I keep getting this as the only answer. Roll a sorc end topic. I get it. Sorcs are OP. But i enjoy my nightblade and would just like to optimize him the best I can to get into pvp.

I am a main pvp stamnb...I feel you. Try either proc sets(yes,they still work, viper ftw) but you can't have long fights or you can try the bone pirate set.
Atm I use veli+viper+3marksman jewelry + master bow and mael axe (master is good too). Weaps are sharp, armor impen. I have 2,3k stam reg with serpent + dubious drink wich is ok.
I also tried BP instead of viper and I get 2,8k stam reg wich is perfect sustain.
I was thinking about trying 5bp and 5 viper but there are no gold jewelry in this case and I miss some pieces.

The skills are as usual, but as ulti I use only incap strike and slot dawnbreaker on 2h.
Just think that I got my emp back when it was hard to get vigor....and it was really hard. So you either stick to the hard way or rerol to magsorc (I have all classes and specs),but still I refuse to play another. I preffer to play another game instead of magsorc.

Thank you for the tips! I have some grinding to do since the only gear I have out of what you mentioned is 2 veli and some random viper (3 armor, 2 rings, and a battle axe) which I don't think is very optimal. My sustain is terrible at the moment. I have 3.3k weapon damage, 75% crit and like 900 stam recovery. Definitely have some work to do. What do you recommend for CP?

I would check out Hexys' stream: . He played stamblade yesterday and did some serious cool stuff together with 2 other stamblades. Farmed a 24k offensive tick if I'm not mistaken. His previous broadcast / Youtube should have the build, otherwise I think his chat-command !stamblade gives the build also.

Stamina Nightblade is performing really, really well this patch.

Personally, I am getting regularly killed by stamblades using Selenes and viper.

This is perfect, thank you! I had not heard of him before. He just posted the build today and it seems relatively easy for me to transition to. I just need to get some better traited viper gear, weapon, and good with the rest. Though I only have 450 CP so I need to work on that.

Viper, selene and Hunt is a great combo when u are in a group of 3-4 players. If u more into 1vx i would go bloodspawn, bonepirate on body. 3 agility jewelry and master bow back and 2h sharpened maelstrom front

Aspect of Terror is great CC. Dark Cloak is useful for dodging abilities as well as juking opponents (if you know which way to move once they don't see you). Don't forget to include those as some great utility skills, they are a beast.

Proc sets are good, but in a long duration fight you'll likely want something that can also grant you a bit of magicka/stamina regen for better uptime and usage on aspect of terror and cloak as well as roll-dodge.

Def Vipers, or perhaps Way of Fire if you want to go the heavy armor route. Since I use a Bow/DW I personally use the Red Mountain set since it can proc off of flurry and the poison DoT of lethal arrow.

I plan on doing mostly group cyro and battlegrounds at first. Once I get better I'll venture into 1 v x territory. Plus, I dot see myself being able to get vma or master weapons anytime soon lol

ATM I use this because it fits both pvp and pve + bgs are non cp so I didn't bother testing. But if you like, you can add some into mag rec for example. Also Jeckll did the math so with this setup I do not have any CP spent useless.
"The new CP system doesnt care about decimals. That means for example that 12.1% and 12.9% both increase your value by 12%. Everything gets rounded down. So you have to make sure to allocate your CP in a way that you always have a number slightly higher than a full number like 12.1%."

haha pretty much, stamblade in pvp is basically gankstyle if your not in heavy armor, even then you can only spam fear so much...started my NB pure stam and slowly converted to hybrid, magblade self heals and survivability suck compared to other classes stamblade is like 3 times worse, theres not much going toe to toe if you catch my drift... proc sets will help but i dont recomend it, if you got the balls to rock a stamblade in PVP best have the skills to back it up

still need mag for cloak and fear dont forget... cloak has definatly gotten better, considering its prolly your best defence in PVP for a NB, just cuz your using it doesnt mean your running away BTW, i pop it with staff equiped then quickly switch 2 hand and hit em with dizzy swing hits them hard but if they dont die its not like i can pull some rambo *** outta my hat(maybe better players can) i honestly try to stay as hidden as i possibly can and hit hard when they least suspect, theres alot more outsmart playing as a NB then anything, you gotta know how to read the battlefield(zerg patterns n such) because you can hit REALLY HARD... you just have to stay alive to do so

You guys are awesome. Thank you for all the info. I have gone 5 viper, 5 eternal hunt and velidreth (this is just until I'm lucky enough to grab Selene shoulders). My CP is allocated pretty much like described by mihaiisraging but I only have 450 CP so less across the board. I'd like to get the Debaser sword to replace the viper battle axe I have at the moment. I'm also undecided on mundus stone.

About the mundus, just test all of them. From my experience with full impen,the serpent is the most rewarding (210rec is better than 160wp dmg with the tower), specially on proc sets.

Btw,from personal experience, when you fight versus a guy that knows the drill he will dodge selene, eternal hunt, diz swing, crit rush, ambush from front, heavy attacks (ofc if he is stam and has enough to do so) and try to punish you from behind. Not to speak that a sorc will almost never step in your eternal hunt's trap. It is just from my experience, I really can't see why ppl like that trap. Velidreth is much harder to avoid when you are next to the enemy. There can be better sets and combos that fits for you ofc,just my opinion.
And if a player is bad, he will die anyway...even if you do not wear gear.

Also, a friend's ideea wich worked great was to use shadow walker set for recovery with shadow image...he barely dies in battlegrounds in change for some dmg.

Is purely upto you but axe is the best choice, trust me. (I hope no one hears that ) but seriously battleaxe in Pvp beats greatsword in most cases (if purely ganker then sword.)

No offense, but the first thing you need to do is blame ZOS for screwing up the bow.

You need to adapt. Back when IC was launched I was stacking weap dmg. But is kena/bloodspawn 5 shield breaker agility and master weapons the best combo? No...

Finally went into cyrodil last night and had a blast. I ended up throwing prismatic enchants on the rest of my pieces and Oblivion damage on the bow. My dps isn't the greatest but I did really well with sustain both keeping myself alive and taking others down. I even managed to take 4 players down on my own while traveling back to a keep. Looking forward to more pvp and improving my characters. Thanks for all the tips!

Morrowind was a sad day for anything stam based. Most of the nerf affected stam NB. With 12 guys built only my sorc is still any good what happened to diversity?
