Such that you could make that dull brown looking leather glove very shiny/spiffy looking (metallic shader). Or take that over-shined piece of fabric and dull down the shine with a matte variant of the color.

They could add these as color packs in the Crown Store. Matte/Metallic Reds/Blues/Grays/etc.

    Yeah sounds interesting.

    For example, you could change medium leather to metallic to get a difficult dye color to shine through better.

    As the OP indicates, I might be enticed to pay crowns for something like that.

    Already exist. Some rare dyes will overwrite the "glossy" quality of an existing item. Cold Harbour Ash Black is the one most people are probably familiar with, though it's not the only one.

    Perfect. Then people have the option of unlocking variants, and it also shows they can easily do it (still gonna be a while to do it for each and every color).
