So, lets talk about Morag Tong and The DB

So, I'm on xbox and haven't looked much up on the expansion yet, but how do they explain the hero (you) being in the DB (if you are) and helping (or joining if that's what happens) the Morag Tong? Like, they have a deadly rivalry, so why would we be an exception to the rule? Just curious about this. I don't want Major spoilers, but am open to anything that might explain this reasoning.

You're not so much helping the Morag Tong as you are helping Naryu directly.


You meet Naryu rather early in ESO if you play through the Ebonheart Pact quests first (Deshaan) and Naryu and your character develop a friendship that lasts through several other encounters in the game. This is how it works.

Yea, but you are still in an enemy guild, which should be a very big problem. Like, they capture and torture eachother. I guess friendship is above all that lol. thanks for the reply bro!

Considering the morag tong are ultranationalist dunmer they should be hostile to everyone just like the original game.

Yeah, but as the stories play out, you're not really in contact with the Morag Tong at all, just Naryu. I guess you just have to sort of imagine that the organization isn't really aware of you.

There are a couple other instances where you do meet other Morag Tong agents but I believe their knowledge of who you are is basically only what Naryu tells them or what you tell them.



Have you played through the Dark Brotherhood quest line and done the Naryu quests in Gold Coast?

Hard to say, at this point in the timeline they are trying to get things done with out drawing a whole lot of negative attention because they were recently nearly disbanded and now rebuilding. 300-some years later during the occurrences in TES3 their mindset could be/probably is completely different in that particular regard.

I wasn't aware she was in the gold coast. This is my first time going through DB on xbox, and I only skimmed through it on PC. I will have to check it out, and that's a fair answer overall, thank you:) In All fairness though, they are the Morag Tong, and it is their job to know of and about people lol. We are not exactly quiet lol.

Don't you run into Naryu while doing DB questline? I haven't done it but from what I've heard, it doesn't seem like she has an issue with you being there.

Not during the quests, no. I'm on the final boss fight, and the game is bugged to where the game freezes when he teleports to you... That's totally irrelevant, but no you don't.

Really? I've been told there's a quest there where you meet up with both her and Raz. Heard it from multiple people too. Perhaps you missed it somehow?

I think you might be confusing them with Camonna Tong.
Morag Tong was a playable faction in original Morrowind.

Not on the main quest. There are 2 sidequests with Naryu.
