It feels so wrong about Tel Galen

The house was there to check out during the beta so it belonged in the expansion but literally cut away just to force people to buy it knowing full well one of the first things people got excited for was a mushroom home in this chapter. This is just disgusting that they would do this. Im usually hand wavey about some practices they do I understand money is a thing companies want but when you sell all the other house homes except the Telvanni one ingame just so you can prey on people who really want it. I know nothing we do will prob change this but ugh.

It should have been sold along with the other "house" houses ingame along with the crown store.

That's why you don't get vocal about things you really want. Then they charge for it. Look at the elk. It was known to be in high demand and boom. High price tag. Same with the telvanni tower. They knew we wanted it. So price tag reflects that.

They never indicated Tel Galen would be released when Morrowind went live. In fact, the PTS notes only included the three that were released at launch, as did the post announcing Morrowind early access. The only reason people know about Tel Galen is because it's there if you physically go to the island on the PTS.

The devs might be holding it off to build some hype, or they might just not be done working on it yet. There are any number of reasons they could have decided not to release Tel Galen yet, but I doubt it's part of some seedy plot to get people to buy Morrowind expecting to get the Telvanni tower.

Be patient. It'll probably be released later, like Earthtear Cavern and Topal Hideaway were.

^ lol, we already know when it's gonna be released. They're complaining that the sale period is all of 4 days.

Yep, my mistake. I just saw the showcase after making that post.

That, I'll agree was a bad move on ZOS' part. Not financially, but with regards to their players' goodwill.

Setting something that big and persistent for a limited time is just... ugh. What about people who don't have a chance to buy Morrowind until later? What about players who join the game down the road? They will find this tower in the game, want to know how to buy it, and come up with "sorry, you missed your chance"?

Hrm. I understand that "fear of missing out" is a powerful tool to leverage... but yeah, I'll agree, this one is a step over the line.
