Crystalized Slab Bug?

I used the Crystalized Slab in PvP and I reflected Overload from another player but I still had received 1k dmg from each hit even though I reflected them all. Is that intentional bacuse in the description it says it would reflect 3 projectiles and not reflect them half or something.
