Bonemold sets similar to TES:III haven't been seen in the game yet, @aliyavana.

So, without confirmation from ZOS we really don't know.

Which is different than, say, the Tsaesci "Snake People" armor ... which most PTS testers saw on early versions of War Maiden. That style may likely be in the game soon on another dropped set or as a motif.

According to this it was originally created by Gorkith *who has no wiki page* (who was apparently slave to a guy named Arslick lmao - I mean really Bethesda, ARS(E)LICK?... there was no way that was not intentional).

If we knew who either of those people were - it would help alot, but since they don't have wiki pages tied to them, I'm going to assume they're just book text characters and there's no definitive answer to the question.

I guess we'll just have to pretend Arslick and his slaving/rim job campaigns came after ESO...lol...

The Carpenter in Deshaan (Byla Drethan) refers to the matter directly:

"There's been a shift. Since the forming of the Pact. Dunmer are using more and more wood, less and less bone. I molded bone once. Things change."

It always felt like a convenient way for ZOS to not have to include bonemold armours.

However, I am hoping that this gets treated as a piece of unreliable narrating, i.e. Byla has seen less and less bone used, and that the practice is still going strong somewhere. That would suggest bonemold armours could be rare, without being non-existent.

Yeah, it appears Bonemold has yet to make an appearance as far as I can tell...

Similarly, the folks of Vvardenfell have also failed to develop the technology to affix points to the ends of sticks to create the spears we see 700 years in the future.

Lo, we've a long way to go before mastering those technological heights.

As I recall, yes, Bonemeld does exist in this era. Not 100% certain though.

I figured redoran and hlaalu was bonemold esp if you got the right dye and how there texture is wavey and or chitinous. We would def get confirmation whenever we get access to the motif material which would tell us.
