Elemental Blockade or Unstable Wall?

Let's say I create an ice warden and on the bar with the frost staff I have the two skills that can cause AoE dmg (the names escape me at the moment), ideally which morph of wall of elements would be better? The one that lasts 2 seconds longer so I can keep the frost AoE going for longer? Or the one that causes extra dmg on expiration?

I would assume if you are dps then more damage, but frost is tricky because you are aware your frost from this skill will slow them down right? So in a since your cold use it from crowd control so the long one might end being the better choice after all.
If you are tank or healer then the long one provides more supportive skill choice. The only exception is if you are a hybrid dps/tank or healer /tank.0 -

Elemental Blockade is one of the premier damage skills in the game. Unstable Wall of Elements is only a fraction as good.0 -

For any other situation, BlockadeSarcasm is something too serious to be taken lightly
