Back then, I would have to wait anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes stuck on a single loading screen or having random loading screens popping up anywhere I tried to move, even within dungeons. Other players as black silhouette placeholders. Mobs not appearing on my screen, causing me to run into them and likely dying to invisible mobs. Or I'd have to wait half a minute to get NPCs to appear to turn in or accept quests. People running ATOP steeds. Unable to draw my weapon.. the list goes on. But I always thought the problem was on my part.
That is until I encountered a bug and had to submit a ticket to Support. I'm not sure what they did, but as soon as I re-logged I had to readjust my brightness, resign the agreements; as though starting the game for the first time. Lo and behold, all my problems had vanished. Loading screens were next to instantaneous, no nasty loading screen surprises and everything spawned perfectly. I even bumped up my graphics setting and had no problems.
I'm just wondering what did they actually do... because these problems are starting to return in force right after Morrowind hit. Just a few days back, the long loading screens are coming back and NOW I can't see the NPC. The FPS drop is pretty new and recent though. As soon as I enter combat, my FPS would drop and soon I'd be watching a slideshow. Is this a problem on my end?
P.S: I've tried a few things; disabling all my addons, updated my drivers, deleting ZO_Ingame.lua from the Saved Variables folder, deleting my UserSettings and then repairing the game. ( Which had me readjusting my brightness and resigning the agreement, like the time they fixed it.. but this time it remains the same )
TL;DR: Had performance issues, thought it was from my end. Submitted a ticket that wasn't related to it and got visited by ESO Jesus. Problems vanished for a long while but are returning. What didjado, ESO Support?
