Help! How is this fair?

Lately I have been trying to purchase from the ESO crown store and gotten a error message telling me "authorization failed" meaning I can't complete the purchase I wanted to make.

This lead me to send a message to support which was replied with try again and try this XXXX with a list of troubleshooting, I tried that and nothing worked, then after about 20 mails back and forth with promises of escalating the ticket to a higher level of service and specialized team I have been notified that I can't EVER buy from them again,.... and I tried asking why? Can I atleast have some answers? And I got the same irritating reply about how sorry they are for the inconvenience and that they can't help me. Which in my mind translates to, sorry not our problem / we don't care, since that is their reply to everything I have sent them.

I wanted to play the game with my girlfriend who is asking me everyday what is going on, and I have tried asking them 1-5 times a day for the last week, with nothing but "sorry" "you probably did something wrong" to now "you will never be able to buy from us again", what is this? I have paid literally thousands of dollars to this game over the last 3 years and given constructive feedback and suggestions fighting for a better community as best I can while supporting them with thousands of dollars and hours ingame, I am maxed out done all the content and I just want to play the game that I have bought, why can't I get a satisfactory answer and why can't I just be allowed to play? I am close to a suicidal rage at this point and I am frustrated beyond belief, this is so unfair and I feel helpless, support is acting like a ignorant android spewing out apologies and irrelevant answers. What do I do?

    Keep trying eventually you might get some traction. I had to fight for a while to reverse a decision made on my account. It does seem that those in charge are quick to damn the customer and discard any requests for information or proof.

    My issue was resolved satisfactorily so keep trying.

    How does not being able to buy cosmetics impair your ability to play the game?

    The 'can't buy from them again' indicates that you've been placed at a high level of risk and all payments will be blocked even if they're technically input correctly and there are no CVC, address, ZIP, or other discrepancies.

    This is an issue to take up with your banks, not ZOS. Because it's ultimately the banks that decline transactions, not retailers.

    While I understand some issues are hard to find I find it odd that Zos would essentially leave an issue like this unsettled since it means OP has no reason to spend any money on the game and should not even subscribe if he cannot spend crowns.

    are you saying you can not purchase crown coins, or, you already have crown coins and can't buy stuff from crown store?

    I'm sure you've already checked - but, have you received a new credit card recently and just need to update info?
