Hi there, my question is in the title. I am just curious and since many not-so-obvious ... things (eg. shade ) ... now are considered pets I would llike to know if this is true for the animated weapon procced by the morkulin set.

Has anyone tested this?

try making a build combining that set with Hunt Leader and see if you get the heals/stam return (check Combat Metrics)

Arrgh, uhhh... no. Can't run addons ... my computer is too old to takkle eso AND addons at the same time. (and i am too lazy to farm hunt leader set just for testing ;) )

My vision was rather directed to combine morkulin and nekropotence for a templar hybrid build - without using pelinals (as honestly I only need magica to heal ... that is right in combat, when morkulin should be rather easy to trigger) But I am just thinking aloud ... nothing real planned yet.

Firstly, yes pets summoned by gear sets do work for necropotence.
Secondly, the uptime on Mork... is sadly not very good, kinda wish ZOS would just make it a guaranteed summon.
Thirdly, yes making a hybrid build without Pelinal's is a wonderful idea. That set is a total trap IMO. :p

    CONFIRMED CONFIRMED CONFIRMED.

okay, that was way too much excitement and yelling, lol.

But yes, I have run my stam sorc casually with morkuldin and hunt leader for several months. The sword is a pet, and does return health and stamina per the hunt leader 5'piece. When I run undaunted alone, I keep a clanfear up as a tank. When the clanfear and silly sword are active he is flipping invulnerable.

The con is that the proc rate on the sword can be wonky. Sometimes it procs all the time, other times it goes minutes with no proc even though I thread a lot of lights and heavies. And I think the RNG is different for lights and heavies regardless what the tool tip says...it procs way more on heavy attacks.

Anything you can summon that follows/fights for you is counted as a pet. Morkuldin Sword is included
"Stand strong, stay true and shelter all."

I just take it as no one knows for sure wether the animated weapon is indeed treated as pet. ;-P
Uptime on morkulin isn't reliable ? Ok i guess I will have to test that first then, ty for letting me know before I get into collecting suitable necro-stuff.

Yeah, well, I actually get along quite well with pelinals ... having only a little push in max magica the spell dmg boost really shows. However, I only use magica for healing (mostly myself I have to add) and purging - in PVP, as well as trying to charge (whenever it seems likely to work). So, I guess my hybrid is still standing pretty much on the stamina side.

While healing in PVE is pretty useless (unless I am too lazy to take care in what I do when soloing a world boss or dolmen I do not need to heal in PVE) its almost useless for my current setup in PVP since patch (note: i am not generalizing !). Well, maybe I should just use leeching plate and get a somewhat minor mending uptime plus a chance to deal a little dmg ... and my problem is solved ...

using nekro and having a reliable pet active does sound awesome however... well, one can#t have everything (if you are not a sorc, i guess ;-) )

As long as you use light attacks morkuldin procs quite often. I just think that people dont really remember to weave LA in pvp. I can usually get it to proc in a couple of hits.
