Weird two enemy glitch

I get a strange glitch if I attack two enemies from a two person trash mob. After I kill the first one, the second resets and moves a couple feet back to its original position. I don't pull them away, they barely move. Is anyone else seeing this? I've been noticing a handful of small glitches like this since Morrowind dropped.I also noticed if I start a fight with a heavy attack, the enemy reacts and charges BEFORE the heavy attack fires off. They used to wait until it hit.

This isn't new behavior. It depends on where you're standing (in relation to them) and (in some cases) what weapon you're using. Charging a power attack while in front of an enemy (anywhere in the forward 180 degrees of them) will cause them to detect you and react before your power attack finishes. Backstabbing (attacking from anywhere in the aft 180 degree arc) will not give them a chance to react and will apply all sneak attack bonuses.

Incidentally, the other glitch you're describing isn't new behavior either, it just used to be much harder to execute. If you can decisively kill an enemy with a power attack from stealth, sometimes you will not be removed from stealth and you will never be put into a combat state.

I'll be honest, I've never been 100% certain how to provoke this, but it is something I've seen before.

Multiple enemies in a single mob share a pull. You can get them to split up via taunts, but normally they'll all aggro together, and there really isn't a way to put one in combat and keep others out. Except, if they can't detect you for some reason. This is where things get a little wonkey.

In ESO, when enemies leave combat, they'll leash back to their original spawn location and receive a full heal. You'll also see this when players try to drag an enemy too far away from their spawn point (hence the term "leashing"). But, for our purposes the critical part is that the enemy is out of combat.

So, you attack without entering a combat state. The enemy dies. His buddy standing right next to him reacts as if he sees you (even though he can't), but then immediately goes, "wait, no one's in combat," and returns to their starting location. This can even happen if they've taken AOE damage in some cases.

It's all pretty goofy, but it's not actually new behavior. That said, something about the systems that check to see if you're in combat do seem a lot more forgiving in Morrowind.

Except both enemies attack me, then when one dies, the other stops fighting and runs a couple feet back to it's original spot and resets. This is annoying, as they already took a fair amount of damage, and my resources are slightly drained. This is new. And I've done a heavy inferno staff attack from behind them, only to have them suddenly spin and run at me, even though I was well outside detection range.

Well, that's your issue. This may have changed back and forth, but the last time I tested it, staves cannot get sneak attack bonuses from heavy attacks. They proc enemy hostility while charging. It's apparent and makes sense with the resto and lightning staff. The Fire and ice, less so. Maybe the staves are supposed to be making noise? I'm honestly not sure.

The other thing absolutely sounds like the enemy is losing track of you. I know how to delibrately provoke this bug (with sets), but I've never heard of it happening accidentally like this. (Though, the last time I ran AA, the team on the other side of the chasm were complaining about their enemies constantly resetting, so this might be a new issue.)

    Edit: For clarity.
