Options for the antisocial player

I PvP mostly and one of the things I dislike the most is a player that send group invites. I have no problem with anyone that would like to group but I would be nice to send a tell and say" you want to group up" or something of that sort. For me, I'd like to see an auto group decline, kinda like the one for duels. That's just my thoughts on it.

A block option for invites (like trades block) would be very useful.
I hate it when guildies are seeing me in a zone and ask me to group without saying anything just to teleport to my location. Ask first biatches :))
Another thing that annoys me is sending me group invite just to use my banker / trader, without even saying please / thanks ...

    Or be less anti-social.
Even on the internet, clear communication is important; it can be the difference between "helping your Uncle Jack off a horse" and "helping your uncle jack off a horse"; the difference between "knowing your s***" and "knowing you're s***".

A guildie can teleport to any other guildie without needing to group.

I guess asking for common courtesy is deemed antisocial these days :P. As for myself I ignore first request, on second attempt without tell/say/whatever it's time for putting that player in ignore.

I do group, I'm happy toi help and whatever - just asking a bit more effort from people than just hitting group request.

I don't consider myself anti-social. I do decline blind invites for just about everything depending on the circumstances, but I think that's because I'm still stuck in a bit of an old school mindset in regards to MMO etiquette. I don't know if I would want any of that automated, though, since I also sometimes like to mock people who blindly invite me. Especially if it's to a guild. How would I know to poke at them if the game auto denied the invite?

Actually, blind group invites are considered spam and reportable, if you really feel so strongly about it.

Asocial people live in the societies with the same rights that you have. Your definition of MMO is regarding your perception only which may be or not true. I see MMOs as playing a game in the same environment with others. You do not need to group up with people to play a multiplayer game. It is the individual who decides to group up or not with others. You would be suprised if you knew how many ppl agree with the OP but they do not read or post on the forums. Don't be against to an idea just for the sake of being against, this option has no concern of yours at all. Uncheck the tick you are all set.

I would also like an option to autodecline groups, options are always good for different kind of players, harms no one, even they are minority.

P.S: Changed to asocial with taking the advice of Sakiri. Indeed there is a nuance between antisocial and asocial.

Don't we already have an auto-decline for group? I'm sure i've seen it in settings, i know for sure there's one for duels.

Guildies don't need to group with you to teleport, you can do it directly from the guild roster. The same with friends on the friends list.

Thankfully i have not come across this one, it would actually annoy me. I NEVER accept group invites, duels, trades, or guild invites if i'm not expecting them, never will, if you don't have the common courtesy to send me a tell first, then i don't feel it necessary to facilitate you.

I meant it as a joke anyway, chill :)

Of course I'm not against the idea of an autodecline, it's weird that it wasn't in the game from the start in my opinion.

I know it was. I was just replying to your comment that I meant it in a jokey way :) Well there was some truth in my comment; anti-social being a word with pretty negative connotations:

    antisocial
    antɪˈsəʊʃ(ə)l/Submit
    adjective
    adjective: anti-social
    1.
contrary to the laws and customs of society, in a way that causes annoyance and disapproval in others.

As others pointed out in the thread, asocial is a better way of putting it.

Same here. I find blind invites rude and I always decline them. If someone wants to group, a tell just takes a few seconds and is more likely to result in a friendly group and a new friend :)

Star Trek Online has options on the Social panel for all sorts of things, including auto-declining guild invites, and auto-declining group invites. (Of course, ESO doesn't have the problem with random guild invitations that other MMOs have, that was so annoying in WoW - any time I took a guildless alt into a major city, random dudes would start popping invites.)

I suppose it must be a pvp thing in ESO, because I don't recall getting many random group invites in PvE. Maybe a handful of times at a Dolmen or lurking near a world boss.

They're likely trying to be kind/helpful, if that makes it any less irritating to you.

If you get repeated invites from the same person, you can simply add him to your block list and the invites won't reach you. I've done that with the oddly persistent, and then just removed them from block later. Sometimes I think auto-invite gets away from people, but it's only a theory.

Or group with somebody who will leave you to your soloing, and anybody who tries to invite you will get a message that you are already in a group.
Classes that don't need any class ability nerfs: Nightblades, Dragonknights, Sorcs, Templars, Wardens.
