Ever since the new Morrowind patch launch i notice my pet command is absolutely broken
I am playing a healer sorcerer with my Twilight put on standby command for years now to do only one function, to HEAL
by putting it on permanent standby (not attacking) this has enable twilight pet to survive through harsh dungeons and trials as it does not attract aggro and is always hovering safely by my side
however now, i could not make it behave as before
it would not stop attacking and keep on dying despite spamming on the pet command button to recall it, default Y+right click(standby)
Then i found out something had changed in this patch
Your summoned pets will now focus on attacking the target you heavy attack. Summon Shade, Summon Storm Atronach, and Maw of the Infernal Item Set have been added to this list of pets that obey your commands.
Seriously? this is frankly the worst solution that you could possibly came up with resolving pet command issue that the ill-informed community is complaining about
What you have with Pet Command Default Button Y + Left Click (Attack Target) / + Right Click (Recall/Standby) has been working fine for years
I have taught many people the trick before and they all loved it, but now it is completely broken
This is some of the reasons why the new change is so bad compared to what it used to be
1. Healing pet (Twilight) keep dying because it would not stop attacking. Yes Y+right click could still recall it but once you put out a heavy attack, twilight starts attacking again and dies. Healers now are especially heavily dependent on heavy attack to regen magicka since you guys had nerfed magicka regen and magic cost reduction so hard on this patch.
2. For tanking pet like clanfear we used to be able to control it to tank one target while the master tank/attack another. But now as the pet command is so broken this is not possible anymore as once you hit in a heavy attack the clanfear will leave the supposed target that i order it to tank.
3. Command attack target for offensive pet (volatile/tormentor/daedroth) is affected too. There are situation that require the pet to attack a different target from what the master is dealing with like clearing additional mobs fast while the master is hitting on boss. Now this flexibility is gone too
4. Ensure pet survival. There are times where you need to keep a distance while heavy attacking with a staff for resource and damage while calling your melee pet out of boss insane AOE blast. The new code that you guys implemented will only put the pet back into the AOE blast and die like a dummy because it doesnt know which command to follow.
Point is, there are so many flexibility and potential the previous pet command could do only to be overwritten by this useless new code that you guys came up with
I am hoping that ZOS could reconsider and remove said command from the game because it causes more harm than good

Or simply make Pet Command Default Button Y + Left Click (Attack Target) / + Right Click (Recall/Standby) to completely overwrite the heavy attack command
I understand that this is to make the new class Warden seem better in controlling pets for newbies but i assure you it is worse as pets no longer behave as intended to by command
All you need to do is just to educate the players that there is such pet command in the game and you can put it in the summon skill description tool tips because majority of the ESO players does not know this command exist.
