Can't give vamp bite.

I'm a level 10 vamp with all passives except the first one. I go to a shrine kneel behind someone but no "use synergy" shows up. I've never given a bite so the timer hasn't started on the 7 day cool down. Normal feeding on npc's work as normal.What am I doing wrong?

Did you go to the correct spot? There is only one location you can get bit

And also sometimes it does bug out you have to travel away then travel back and walk to spot again and it usually works.

Yes, same shrine that I got a bite at. I tried that many times on different days.

I had one bug once and disconnected reconnencted and it solved my problem

Have you had it unlocked for 7 days? The cool down on WW bite starts when you purchase the passive.

I did reconnect...nothing. I'm pretty sure it's been at least 7 days since I was bit.

7 days since you purchased the bite passive, not since you were bit. I think you can check its cool down in your buff tracker in the character sheet.

I was going to suggest turning off all addons, but stalking your posts I see your an Xbone player.

I would try to start far'ish away from them and slowly crouch towards them waiting for the synergy pop up, just in case it's a conflict with blade of woe(this shouldn't be an issue with other players, but bugs happen).

Also double check that in Options / Combat that you have Active Combat Tips to always show. Maybe having that turned off is blocking the Synergy message from showing.

I checked my character sheet...no bite timer, just the timer for each stage if I fed lately. My prevent attacking innocents was on...maybe that's it. If that doesn't work...I'll try the sneak attack. lol

That was it...I had to turn off the "prevent attacking innocents" in the combat menu!!!

You don't have to kneel behind them to give a bite. Stealth is needed either, just walk up to them and you should get the 'synergy'.

it may not be you. I was not able to get a bite and several tried and at different shrine locations to eliminate home alliance issues. Even did it where we were both in the same alliance at our home shrine.

About a week later it worked.

I had to disable the "prevent attacking innocents" in the combat menu...then it worked!

That should not be an issue. Maybe that was the issue I had as well.

Since the "Prevent attacking innocents was clearly intended for NPCs please pass the on to the appropriate people.

I still have this bug so many years later and i turned that option off. I cannot bite anyone!
