(5 items) Critically Healing an ally grants them a 8195 Damage Shield for 8 seconds. This effect has a cooldown of 6 seconds.


My question is does the cooldown apply to the ally who has the shield of the caster who healed the ally?

Since when? I don't personally use this set, but there was a pvp raid leader who used this some time ago, and the cd applied to ally. Did it change?

You know, I bang the drum for this set through thick and thin...

I love this set...

Absolutely love it...

There are certain dps abilities that proc the damage shield, and as a result, it rocks in duels and when soloing overworld bosses...

As a support healer ability it rocks (especially when doing small group PvP); its a free damage shield that will proc every 6 seconds (assuming you have a high Spell Critical and are using heal over time abilities) that's going to land on someone who has:

1) taken damage (which means that player most likely needs the damage shield)
2) has received a crit heal from you (so that player can heal up to full without taking further damage from his/her attacker)...


As this thread shows you many, many, people hate this set...

I say try it for yourself and see what you think about it...

I have tried everything from Spell Power Cure to Julianos and I keep coming back to Combat Physician; as a whole (PvE, PvP, soloing), I think it trumps everything else available for Light Armor...

I think it is actually a decent set for 4-person dungeons, and I've paired it with SPC for vet dungeons. If one of the party members needs healing, they get a damage shield, and on the same HoT cast others who are already at full hit points get damage buffed, so a single Healing Springs, for example, can proc different effects based on who needs what.

I wouldn't recommend it for trials because with 11 other group members instead of 3, the Combat Physician shield won't be covering them very often.

I gotta admit, it kept me alive yesterday doing dailies. Was just a random group, but the healer had this set on, saved my NB's squishy NB's bacon many times.

I was actually gonna try this set with the ton of Trinimacs valor I have. Think it could be a kinda cool auto heal and shield factory
