I need a stolen belt

I've been trying to get the Indecent Exposure achievement and the last thing I need is a belt.

Problem is, I can't find one anywhere.

Asking around in zone chat is pointless, as the only answers I'm getting vary from "Walmart" to "Check your mom's bedroom, I left mine there last night."

Can anyone tell me where I might be able to find one? I've been at this for the last three days to no avail.

It applies to armor sets/armor as well. Best luck would be farming thieves troves and hoping a set belt piece is in there. Or maybe there's an armory somewhere that has a girdle on display ripe for the taking.

@MeerkatWarlord If you are looking around merchants/armorers/crafting areas, stop! Break into homes and look in everything. Look in all backpacks that are 'stealing'. I found my belt in someone's home. Also, that merchant that you can rob on the side of the road for the achievement, sometimes has a belt.

Well, I did this achiev some time ago and I have same problem, so I was just stealing things from furniture, urns, backpacks etc. It didn't take so much time to get the belt. And then you just need to break into smith's shop.
So your anwser is - be patient. No other way.

Backpacks and crates, where you normally get provisioning ingredients. A great place to try is wayrest: the castle, bank, and stalls have TONS of stealing oriented containers.

Anywhere that there is a backpacks, crates, chests or to steal from, I usually find a stolen clothing item behind the Alchemy shop in Bangkorai

howdy OP...if it helps - got mine by doing the thieving house run around the crafting area in abah's landing (next to the TG hq's)...lots of baskets and closets in the area...hard to get trapped stealing there...

Riiight, I forgot that baskets and crates have a chance to hold voidsteel/shadowsilk/shadowhide apparel. So steal a bunch of baskets. Become the Wicker Link of ESO.

Go to the back alley in bangkorai. Steal everything there. Login out and log back in and everything refreshes. Eventually you will get a belt.

Stolen armor also works for Indecent Exposure achievement. I don't think there's any clothing with Belt category. Just go to any armor vendor and check the counter and other places in the shop or stall for a belt and steal it.

Go to any fighters guild hall and look there. There's plenty of armor laying around.

Check inside the boats at the docks to the west of Daggerfall.

Houses tend to have random armor around both on free standing and as random container loot.
Sell the stuff for extra profit
Secondary look at armor merchants or fighter guild.

I've heard that you don't actually need the belt to get the achievement, from several people on other threads. Try it without a belt and see if it works, since it's pretty easy to get the other stuff back in case it doesn't.

Took me something like 8 hours to find a belt, finally got one from a nightstand in a locked house. I was also trying Thief Troves, but all I got was boots, chests, and hats.

As far as I can tell, no armor stand or merchant in Tamriel has belts on display.

Is belt needed though? I've seen other threads mention only major pieces were required (head, chest, etc.) Some said 5, some said 6.

I've not tested myself.

I did this achievement went it first came out. I don't remember having any issues getting all the armor. Iiirc I was stealing around crafting stations and armors stores.

Try in Velyn Harbor, Malabal Tor ..... There is a lot of around for stealing, it has been awhile but I believe this is where I got my belt .....

In theory, yes. It's possible this achievement has been bugged to allow other items to count in the past (or currently). I haven't earned it on an alt since it went live. (I usually avoid getting a bounty at all, and have a serious aversion to losing stuff to the guards.)

EDIT: I do have the achievement.

If you have not completed the Velyn Harbor part Malabal Tor.

Go there
Get tot the Armour stand outside mages guild (on the left if you are facing the mages guild).
Kill the bad guys at that Armour stand.
Steal what you need.

I thought of that, but they don't have belts. No armorer or armor stand I've ever seen has belts.
