You're not that special!

When you've fought long and hard to get through a delve and make it finally to that tier-one boss, you finally have a chance to kill this person that you don't know the reasons why you're killing them! Then before you can attack, some high leveled player comes in and helps you complete the dungeon by wiping the floor with that bosses face. That player just stole your glory though. What a ***. Sorry to say but that high level player had no interest in you. You are not that special for someone to waste their time and go "help" you in a delve. Most likely that high level player was looking for content completion or helping a friend with content completion. No one cares about you so get over the fact that a high level player is doing the same content you are.

Thank you.

On a serious note, this is why I generally stick to throwing in a couple of light attacks and heals only when I see a newbie fighting a boss.

Welcome to a multiplayer game. Not saying that to spite you because I often wish I had delves and public dungeons to myself. But it's simply something you have to learn to accept when you play a MMO.

True the high level one also want the boss.
Add that it can be hard to judge is the low level one is in problems.
On the other hand current problem in Morrowind is more players than enemies in public dungeons and delves.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

So yeah, it's one of the things we have to live with.

Eh? I often take interest if I see a player in a Delve or Public Dungeon struggling. Not sure what you're ranting about - but it sounds like you just aren't a very nice person :)

I even make sure not to leave them behind so they can get in on the XP action - heck I even take measure not to kill enemies right away so they can get a hit in.

I think OP is just being salty for nothing.

When it's not too crowded and I notice another player heading for the area with the named I will wait with attacking if need be to let the other player catch up. I usually sneak around to get passed most mobs.

Yeah, nothing special - You know what? If you're in Ilessan Tower in Glenumbra at level 6, it is not *your* zone (I like questing, and I am sick of being told by low level players that I should not be in a particular area). Prior to One Tamriel there were 3 versions of Glenumbra - one for lowbies who were DC, one for AD characters at Vet Rank 1, and one for EP characters at Vet Rank 6.

Now we all have to live in the same zones together, at least with battle scaling you are probably better off in a lot of ways than higher level characters (wait until you hit lvl 50 and see what happens to your max stats, no joke, and you won't be laughing).

I always try to help out new players when I can, but remember that lots of us higher levels used to have these zones to ourselves and it's just as much a problem for us to have you in "our" zones as it is for you to have us in "your" zones.

We're all together now - learn to live with it. If worst comes to the worst, just wait on boss respawn - we all have to do that sometimes because we just missed it, no matter what our level.

Public dungeons are farmed a lot by people looking for set pieces in that area. Places like Forgotten Crypts, Razak's Wheel and Crimson Cove are quite crowded even late at night because the zones they are located in have desirable sets. And to be honest delve and public dungeon bosses are just glorified trash to a good player. It's more efficient to AoE them together with the close by trash packs when farming. The main challenge in fact is getting a shot in before they are burned to cinders to claim the loot and achievement.

Cry me a river. Currently Morrowind delves and dungeons are packed. I'm at 640CP, but am trying to complete the new content just as everyone else is. I'm looking for where the boss spawns and can't find the spot because the boss is always dead and needs to respawn. So I ask in chat where the spawn spot is and all those lovely low-level snowflakes don't bother to answer. So what goes around comes around.

So... when in a delve, each and every one of us should first have a detailed look around, see what other players are there, what they are doing, do some thought reading and find out whether they'd prefer to be helped or to be left alone, and depending on the result of that analysis, just stand there and wait for the next round, or help carefully in order not to disturb anyone in action, or help heavily and kill the boss asap ?

    I'm sorry HAL, I'm afraid I can't do that.
You on the other hand can go play a single player game. In my experience, it's still the most reliable way to avoid "other players".

Yes, same here. I do that at dolmens (when I happen to be alone there with one or two newbies), in delves, public dungeons etc. I do as little damage as possible, just enough so that the kill counts for me. And before pulling a delve boss, I usually even look around if there's anyone else wanting the kill.

When I happen to get put into a level ~20 group for a random dungeon, and I'm not exactly in a hurry, I let the others take their time. I also make sure to not do more than around 40% group DPS. The others should have their fun too.

Maybe I'm just too nice. ;)
