How do you convert your items?

Well, on console, you highlight the item, then hit Y (I think) for 'more options', go down to convert, and select that, then hit yes for accepting the consequences, etc. But, about 95% of the time, you won't ever see the option, because you won't have items that can be converted most likely...

It works the same way as the Imperial Edition conversion, someone has already stated this in this thread .....

The conversion process has been in game and working this way for at least a couple years. Right, wrong, what you want, what I want .... this has been the game mechanics. It is not a broken feature or bug. There are a bunch of threads on the ability to change armor and the subject, maybe review them .....

The Devs have better things to do then answer every question when the answers are already available. The Devs have stated this. There was just a post Friday where someone complained on the lack of communication on Morrowind issues. The answers the OP was looking for had already been posted in another thread started by the Devs. The OP did not take the time to search and review, but had the time to start a thread complaining. ZOS did respond to this post, all the OP did was defend a comment from someone else. Not a post apologizing for tagging a Dev for not communicating when they did. Do you realize how many messages that tag Gina's in one day? There is not enough time in one day to read them all, let alone answer them all. The ESO FAQ and Dev Tracker can be helpful .....

Maybe this will help you out, it only took a couple minutes to do a search and review two posts for the answers. Probably less time then it took you to create your two posts requesting an answer on existing game mechanics .....

Players can convert items to their Imperial version if they bought the Imperial Edition of the game or the Imperial Upgrade in the Crown Store.

To convert armor or weapons, players must navigate to the item in their inventory, press [Y] (Xbox One) or [Triangle] (PlayStation 4) and select Convert to Imperial. Players on the PC/Mac can right click the item to select Convert to Imperial.

Please note that not all items are convertible and once an item has been converted, it cannot be reverted to its original style.

Characters of the Imperial race are the only ones who can craft items in the Imperial style as their "native" style. If you create a character who is not Imperial, you will not be able to craft this style unless you find the Imperial Motif book.

However, if you own the Imperial Edition of the game, all of the characters you create, regardless of race, possess the ability to convert items to the Imperial style. You can do this from your Inventory menu. When selecting or highlighting an item, you should have a Convert to Imperial option available. A window will pop up informing you that this item will become bound to you once it is converted.

Your boots, gloves, chest armor, leg armor, and helmets are all able to be converted. Note that there are some items that are specially enchanted or are stylized items from quests, and are unable to be converted to the Imperial style. If you are using the Imperial Edition perk to convert items, you should be aware that once an item is converted to Imperial style, it is bound to character.

It's not really a question of it being broken like a glitch, but broken in the sense that it SHOULD work on all items. The add it into upgrade packs as if it is something cool, but, if it is anything remotely cool, it is like having a really awesome set of motorcycle handlebars that you could add to any motorcycle, but can really only find cars... except, you can at least hang the handlebars on your wall, or something else tacky, but still 'useful'. Or, in the case of ESO, if they added to a pack the ability to reskin any necromantic pet into a flesh atronach... given there aren't any necromantic pets (and probably won't ever be at this rate), pretty useless, but MAKES the upgrade pack look really awesome!!

I do agree, it is not broken or a bug. I would also like it to include all armor .....

Things started to be realized by more players with the release of One Tamriel. Set pieces became more relevant and more started realizing these were not changeable with the add-on bonus .....

But then again, if you were able to change a looted set piece with a specific name/type/style ..... how do they code it so the set piece retains the existing attributes. There are different names for set pieces at different levels (ie: white/blue/purple) and different styles (ie: light/medium/heavy). .....

If you have seen a datamined of items from the game code, they are coded with ID's. I can kinda understand the issue even if I would like all items to be converted. How do they code it to allow every piece of armor so it changed be to another style while still retaining the original attributes? This would be a mess for the coders to figure out if they could figure out a way to make it work .....

How many more bugs would be created in implementing this? They barely have time to work on and resolve the existing bugs with the game, especially with the release of Morrowind .....

Still a broken feature, sold under false pretenses. Maybe you should take a moment to realize this.

Im trying to Convert my spriggan armour and weapons but there is no convert option??

ok, here it is!

- you buy a COSTUME "blank" from the crown stor
- you put on the actual gear (actual gear, costume parts, etc.) you wan't the costume blank to appear to have
- you "click" enable costume blank and the currently enabled gear appearance is then set as a unique costume that can be named and will appear in the player's collections.

Why this is good:
- ZOS makes money selling "costume blanks"
- Crafters see an uptic in requests for a whole plethora of gear to be made, in every type of material
- The motif/style, etc. market get's a bump
- players finally get a working TRANSMOG system.

I'll charge nothing for this idea to be implemented.

I would have 100% upgraded to CE if i could convert drop sets. Now I've learnt i cant, its basic pack for me
