(there is also a certain orc by a certain dwelve where you can strike a blow against slavery) but freeing them all, that's not gonna happen. Especially not with the Telvanni... they might be a "meritocracy", but they are also all a bunch of scheming spellwringers who just love lording over others, especially slaves, to make them feel all high and mighty... well, and have someone to do the scutwork anyhow.
Although I really think it would have been interesting to have some repeatable "free a slave" quests, for those argonain characters who might feel like you do... perhaps even done in a DLC with two guilds, a "abolitionist guild" that gives you "free slaves" missions, and an slavers guild that gives you "capture innocent argonians and other NPCs tp enslave" missions, with PvP-enabled should members of the two meet (Don't want PvP? Don't join either!)
They're just Argonians and deserve to be enslaved.
What I find annoying as heck is that you can't play a character that supports slavery. Political correctness is very prominent in ESO, alas.
Seems like dunmer made a big mistake letting all those outlanders come to Vvardenfell..theher0not wrote: »Freeing the khajiit and argonians and killing their owner was one of the things I was looking forwrd too the most.
Don't look away! It will make fighting some Camonna Tong slavers all the sweeter!TonyRockaroni wrote: »I'm not saying I'm trying to abolish slavery two eras before it actually happens. I just want to be able to visit Sadrith Mora without seeing my people in cages or chains...

But the visuals match the lore - if you go to telvanni or dres lands, you have to expect seeing slaves. Be grateful they at least kept back most of the other really bad things that come with slavery...
Slavery is still very much alive and well in the real world and I find it disgusting that it's part of a game that gets shrugged off as if it's cute. I want to slaughter every Telvanni I come across.

Are you equally disgusted by people proudly wearing their faction colors and shouting "death to the High Elves!"?Slavery is still very much alive and well in the real world and I find it disgusting that it's part of a game that gets shrugged off as if it's cute. Indeed! What goes around, comes around, and in the fourth era the descendents of my haughty slaveholding dunmer fire mage alt may well be working as servants to some argonian to earn their keep!TonyRockaroni wrote: »It also brings me solace to know that we've gotten the last laugh as of the fourth era!
Yeah the telvanni are pretty nasty pieces of work, all together. Not that many others are better, after all, many of the dunmer only agreed to "no slavery" out of political reasons, and we know from the lore the dunmer lands will in time revert to their old ways... until the tribunal falls, and with it the dunmer nation, more or less, to be mostly conquered by their former slaves in the fourth era.Slavery is still very much alive and well in the real world and I find it disgusting that it's part of a game that gets shrugged off as if it's cute.
