Question regarding Mighty and Thaumaturge

I don't fully understand how these interact with each other when you for exapmle have physical or poison dots - for example twin slashes that does initial damage followed by physical dot damage - does this mean
A) The initial damage is covered by mighty while the following dots are covered by Thaumaturge or
The initial damage and the dots are covered by mighty and the dots are additionally covered by Thaumaturge or
C) ?

Mighty buffs everything that does phys, poison, disease damage, whether direct or dot. Thau further buffs dots. Master at Arms further buffs direct.
