Please stop placing books and notes which tell parts of the story of that dungeon/quest next to enemies that endlessly respawn.

Worse is when doing this with items you can't read again (from the floor) after interacting with once already.

Quest Spoiler
Such as the assassins note in Like Blood from a Stone.

I know we should have entries in our eidetic memory but if you're player a character which doesn't yet have that or don't remember the name of the note/book in question it's very frustrating to follow the story.

I don't know if this would help as a workaround, but maybe you could snap a fast screenshot of the text, then view that when you get out of aggro before you've moved on to the next thing? It wouldn't be as immersive as reading it right there when first found but would certainly be fresher in your memory and easier to find so long as you head to your screens folder right away.

Yeah that's one work around I have done in the past Donari, not too bad to do with twin monitors either.

It just bugs me that we had this issue at launch three years ago and still we see the same dungeon design were notes which can take time to read (sometimes six page books) are placed next to fast spawn enemies.

Having my daily British grumble I guess, but figured it was worth a shot that someone at ZOS reads this and goes "hey... that kinda makes sense"

If you finish mage guild you will get all lorepages after that saved in your Lorelibrary in the journal.

@Linken don't you get it? That's immersion breaking, Turelus wants to walk up to a book and slowly open the book and read it without getting Xv1 by a mob..Fix please.

You might want to reread my opening post.

Immersion, I guess? It's just frustrating to read two pages, alt out, kill mobs, read two pages, alt out... I was doing it annoyed but going with it until I found the note in the spoiler which actually couldn't be read again.

Whilst I am lucky I am doing this on my main who has eidetic memory and I could go read it in a safe corner afterwords, anyone new to the game basically lose the chance to know what that note said until eidetic memory.
That said I didn't actually check to see if it was removed from the floor because it was a readable quest item
still going to have a grumble though.

Well whats to say that those mobs aint sneaking up on you while you stand around in a hostile enviroment reading a note/book if you wanna go the RP/immersed way?

@Turelus I'm messing with you, your point stands lol... @Linken I was going to put that originally saying that it is within the realm of immersion after all... B) You're keen. This is actually intended, promotes reading faster and quick reactions. 10/10

The OP's request is reasonable. For example, I play stamina characters exclusively, so why should I do the Mage's Guild questline (aside from maybe wanting to have done all quests)?
PAWS (Positively Against Wrip-off Stuff) - Say No to Crown Crates!. Outfit slots not being accountwide is ridiculous given their price. PC EU/PC NA roleplayer and solo PvE quester

Since Mage guild has some nice perks and the mage guild ulti scales of weapon dmg and max stamina making it real nice for some stamina builds. :open_mouth:
