Please fix controller/gamepad mode

I'm entering this as a bug, but it's really an ongoing issue. Before anyone says "just use keyboard/mouse" : I have significant wrist and hand damage from years of piano, programming, and hand writing. I can play for exactly 5 minutes with keyboard and mouse. Character creation is agony.

1. PLEASE for the love of Kyne, allow us to turn off camera rotation in menus! "No, thank you!" add-on no longer works after Update 14. I get nauseous opening writ containers. Can't use auto-loot in Dolgubon's because it breaks the gamepad mode menus.

2. Please find a way for add-ons to alter the gamepad menus! I have to switch back anytime I use a guild store, or crafting so my add-ons can work. Things that make the game playable for me - like multi-craft, AGS, etc.

3. Easy gamepad fix that would also lower how much I'm nauseous in game - please let us collapse sections in the gamepad inventory menus! Having to scroll all my ***, all the time, does nauseate me! Again, switching to keyboard is painful, so it's not really am option.

4. If the dev team is stuck on what players want in menus... well, look at the add-ons we use! Pretty sure the developers of those would sell code to you super cheap, or might be ok with you simply taking their code. It's really easy to ask...

Please, please, can accessibility be something more than "here's gamepad mode, it sucks, shut up now?" My issues weren't this bad 3 years ago.. now if I want to move to console, I'd lose all progress/achievements. And wouldn't have add-ons that make the game tolerable for me, because there are no options that help me in base game.

Singed,
a very sick, very frustrated player.

Dear Very sick, very frustrated player.

I'm exclusively a game pad pc player as well, but I don't think there are many of us out there, and not enough to justify the investment you are asking for. The pc game pad mode is clearly an offcut left over from converting eso for the console players. I agree the ui is atrocious and there are many problems with button mapping.

Unfortunately zos don't have much control over the add-on developers. I agree that zos could learn a lot from some of the fantastic add-ons, but in the short term you have to rely on the add on devs updating for game pad mode. It is not a bug, it is not zos's problem or responsibility, and the best thing you can do is appeal to specific add-on developers directly.

Have you tried using your own game pad program (e.g. xpadder)? this will let you play the game with the standard pc ui, and all the add-ons you like as well as letting you button map onto more comfortable/advanced controllers. It doesn't necessarily get rid of the need for a keyboard/mouse, but it comes close.

#1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.

Dear Empathic but not sympathetic -

You are obviously not using gamepad to play your favorite game because of a disability, in my case multiple. Please *** off with your"deal with it" ***.

No, ZOS doesn't have to make the game accessible, and breaking add-ons that make the game accessible is totally in their court.

It's also a super *** position to take. Maybe I will join the lobbying for the ADA to apply to games as well.
