Necro would then become the new BSW for all classes and ZOS will once again nerf it to the ground.

I would like a true pet class ... not a warlock pet sorcerer or a half sorcerer warden hunter, stamina NB wannabe ...

I was actually happy about the warden because I imagined first a new kind of tank, that no other mmo has, a tank with pets that you could fully control. Now that would of been a blast, having a class that could tank some adds with some pets and the boss by itself :)

But like this, the new class makes no sense to me ... I guess they only wanted to add something new to justify the expansion and not to just launch another DLC ...

    Anyway, my answer stays no.

I voted no and I'm a dragonknight. I just don't want all the classes to essentially become different shades of the same thing. I like the classes to remain different from one another.

Or people don't want all classes as basically clones.

If you want pets play a sorc or warden.

Agreed. Change the set instead and remove that stupid pet requirement. Why sets which cannot be used (f.ex. necro for DKs and Templars) even exist, in first place?

all stamina classes are clones with 2-3 different skills. And Im talking about just one skill from class-independent line like Mage guild. You can use it or not. At least you have a choice.

But wardens and sorc's have literally a class dependant line of pets, defeats the purpose of those line and the uniqueness of them if you give everyone them.

And while some stamina builds use similar skills they are completely different and play different.

Your telling me a bursty, glass cannon stam nb plays the same as a dw jabs stamplar or a 2h/S&b dk or a 2h/bow warden?

Personally I kinda wish they had left pets out of the classes entirely and instead given us some mutually exclusive world skill lines for the petmasters... an "Summoner" skill line for calling daedra, an "Trainer" skill line for calling bears and other woodland critters, an "Necromancer" skill line for caling undead... that sort of thing.
But alas, that's not how they went, and I am not arrogant enough to think they'd rebuild their game at this time... So the point is pretty moot...

I like the idea of one of the world skill lines having a pet, but I've only thought it through for solo PvE - sometimes it would just be nice to have some version of that pocket tank available to anybody. And I'm a big fan of people being able to solo lower-level group content. Seems to be mainly one class that finds that most accessible atm.

The problem is the effect it would have on all the other kinds of gameplay. And even on performance, in Cyrodiil especially.

So: no, not so sure that would be smart. If people want that option they're probably going to have to just stick with those classes.
Classes that don't need any class ability nerfs: Nightblades, Dragonknights, Sorcs, Templars, Wardens.

No, there are already too many summons in the bank and crafting areas fouling up my interactions with the banker and crafting stations because I cannot target him/her/them because there is a ruddy great flapping twilight in the way.

I have nothing against pet builds per se, just make the horrible minions auto-unsummon when they are in town.

No, but I'd like to see a summoning skill line that is open to all classes. but each summon is an undead. (maybe a minor daedra for the ultimate). These would more likely just be cannon fodder (death effects) or mob distractions, nothing like what the sorc brings to the table.

Though I do think that the warden should have a skill similar to the undaunted trapping webs skill. It's a nature class, a summoner, as well as a support class. So why can't its shalk ability create a group synergy that allows allies to use "shalk assault" to spawn in a shalk to fight for 15 sec?

Dragonknight with dragons. I approve. And no, they are summoned / conjured dragons, you're not riding them, it can be implemented Lore-friendly, let it go.

For real though, adding a pet skill would imply that another skill gets removed, and I'm pretty sure half the community will complain if an important skill in their build gets replaced with a pet skill, that doesn't fit their build.

Lol. It'd be interesting if they made summoning familiars in populated zones fine-able via the guards. Like a 25g fine if a guard sees a player with an active summon out.

Dont use pets on my sorcs either, other than when leveling skill line, never have never will. Doesn't bring interesting game play imo.

for walking them without a leash, of course :^)

Distinctly meh on the idea of more combat pets, I can't find a reason for me to want it other than to use necropotence on DK or Templar.

Funny you should say Summoner since the new Ashes of Creation has a Summoner class as one of their initial 8 classes.

With all the talk of Necromancer I see, I was thinking it will be the next new class they create here.
