Why is the game going down, again.

Welcome to major patch/early release dates in most MMOs.

Even games like WoW still have issues when new expansions come out. It's because you have tons of old players returning and flooding the servers. There are also unforseen bugs that need to be hotfixed. Believe it or not not every issue can be found on a PTS....Shocking I know

That'd be great reasoning if this was anywhere near the content size of an expansion of WoW.

Constant maintenance!!!!

So frustrating. Every *** day there is maintenance and ALWAYS cutting into my playtime. So frustrating ZOS.

Why continue playing a game when there is so much maintenance you can never log on. So beyond ridiculous !!

There was no maintenance today, that I was aware of.

hopefull fixing the nerves to warden, stamina and other classes and besides that making everything pretty and smell nice

please no further downtime over the next 4 days, its holidays!

okay so it isn't until later today... i was worried it was down right now. Oh and it is much later than the maintenance normally is which is great for me.

hopefully it's for a lot of little, easily fixed bugs that won't take too much time, and they'll take more time to investigate and fix bigger issues next monday during regular maintenance time. Another thought is that they might have tabled some mundane maintenance that they normally do on Mondays, in order to get the patch into place. I gotta say, I did log in right at 10:05am on Monday without an issue, according to ZOS's planned schedule.

Here are a couple of the little bugs that I did notice so far. I completed the entire crafting certification group of quests at level 5, although the requirement before MW was level 6. To bear this out, even after I became jack of all trades at level 5, I still couldn't get any writs until level 6. I saw no mention of a change in the patch notes.

Another one, I read the handbills in Vivec City to join FG and MG. First char I did it on was AD, and all went according to plan and I got the FG and MG skill trees. Then I did it on my second new char in DC. Without thinking anything about it, when I needed the intimidation/persuasion passives, I went straight to the Daggerfall guilds in Glenumbra, and finished the quests perfectly once again. Then afterward, I saw that the quests were still in my journal, and they were both pointing to the Vulkhel Guard halls in AD...ooops...I then went to the FG hall, and successfully completed the same quest a second time. But then I went to the MG hall next door, and although the quest pointer was in the right spot (well, right for AD, shoulda been in DC though), the NPC was not there however, even after a relog. double ooops...



edit on the crafting certs...in the patch notes they indicated that they DID fix some unrelated issues on this quest, where the cert quests were listed wrong in the journal, and some issue with the way that the equipment quest giver's name was sometimes referenced incorrectly...so, fixed one thing and broke another...

NPCs being underground has been happening for weeks if not months. But you folks missed the most important point...


They're bringing down the game for PvP? For PvP! Aargghh!!!

So...I'm guessing they'll fix battleground queue, by breaking dungeon group finder? There's always a price...

Quite honestly, I'd rather they'd fix relevant bugs, like Pet AI and numerous other issues they produced, instead of giving priority to the BG Queue stuff. 3 Hours and only fixes for 1 issue ist not exactly enticing. If they were to fix more issues, it might be acceptable. But this way it is off putting. Most other games apply hotfixes fast, during the night with minimal downtime.
